2 How long, LORD? Will you utterly forget me? How long will you hide your face from me?	2 Fino a quando, o Signore, mi terrai in oblìo? Per sempre? Fino a quando terrai il tuo volto nascosto da me?
3 How long must I carry sorrow in my soul, grief in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?	3 Fino a quando volgerò pensieri nella mia anima, tristezza nel mio cuore tutto il giorno? Fino a quando s'ergerà il nemico su di me?
4 Look upon me, answer me, LORD, my God! Give light to my eyes lest I sleep in death,	4 Guarda, rispondimi, o Signore mio Dio, da' luce ai miei occhi perché non dorma il sonno della morte,
5 Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed," lest my foes rejoice at my downfall.	5 perché non dica il mio nemico: "L'ho sopraffatto", e i miei avversari si rallegrino al mio vacillare.
6 I trust in your faithfulness. Grant my heart joy in your help, That I may sing of the LORD, "How good our God has been to me!"	6 Ma io nella tua misericordia confido; gioisca il mio cuore nella tua salvezza, e canti al Signore che mi ha beneficato.
