1 A song of ascents. Of David. I Had not the LORD been with us, let Israel say,	1 Canción de las subidas. De David. Si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, - que lo diga Israel -
2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,	2 si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, cuando contra nosotros se alzaron los hombres,
3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.	3 vivos entonces nos habrían tragado en el fuego de su cólera.
4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;	4 Entonces las aguas nos habrían anegado, habría pasado sobre nosotros un torrente,
5 seething waters would have drowned us.	5 habrían pasado entonces sobre nuestra alma aguas voraginosas.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.	6 ¡Bendito sea Yahveh que no nos hizo presa de sus dientes!
7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.	7 Nuestra alma como un pájaro escapó del lazo de los cazadores. El lazo se rompió y nosotros escapamos;
8 Our help is the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.	8 nuestro socorro en el nombre de Yahveh, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
