1 They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent which David had pitched for it. Then they offered up holocausts and peace offerings to God.	1 Luego introdujeron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio de la Carpa que David había hecho levantar para ella, y ofrecieron delante de Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión.
2 When David had finished offering up the holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD,	2 Cuando David terminó de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios de comunión, bendijo al pueblo en nombre del Señor,
3 and distributed to every Israelite, to every man and every woman, a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a raisin cake.	3 y distribuyó entre todos los israelitas, hombres y mujeres, una porción de pan, un pastel de dátiles y uno de pasas de uva.
4 He now appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD, the God of Israel.	4 David puso de servicio delante del Arca del Señor a algunos levitas, para conmemorar, celebrar y glorificar al Señor, el Dios de Israel.
5 Asaph was their chief, and second to him were Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. These were to play on harps and lyres, while Asaph was to sound the cymbals,	5 Asaf era el jefe; Zacarías, el segundo; y además, Uziel, Semiramot, Iejiel, Matitías, Eliab, Benaías, Obededom y Ieiel, con instrumentos musicales, arpas y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.
6 and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel were to be the regular trumpeters before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Los sacerdotes Benaías y Iajaziel tocaban ininterrumpidamente las trompetas delante del Arca de la Alianza de Dios.
7 Then, on that same day, David appointed Asaph and his brethren to sing for the first time these praises of the LORD:	7 Aquel día David dispuso por primera vez que el Señor fuera alabado por Asaf y sus hermanos de esta manera:
8 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds.	8 «¡Den gracias al Señor, invoquen su Nombre, hagan conocer entre los pueblos sus proezas;
9 Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds.	9 canten al Señor con instrumentos musicales, pregonen todas sus maravillas!
10 Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!	10 ¡Gloríense en su santo Nombre, alégrense los que buscan al Señor!
11 Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.	11 ¡Recurran al Señor y a su poder, busquen constantemente su rostro;
12 Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered,	12 recuerden las maravillas que él obró, sus portentos y los juicios de su boca!
13 You descendants of Israel, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!	13 Descendientes de Israel, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, su elegido:
14 He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail.	14 el Señor es nuestro Dios, en toda la tierra rigen sus decretos.
15 He remembers forever his covenant which he made binding for a thousand generations--	15 El se acuerda eternamente de su alianza, de la palabra que dio por mil generaciones,
16 Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac;	16 del pacto que selló con Abraham, del juramento que hizo a Isaac:
17 Which he established for Jacob by statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant,	17 él lo confirmó como norma para Jacob, como alianza eterna para Israel,
18 Saying, "To you will I give the land of Canaan as your allotted inheritance."	18 cuando dijo: «Yo te daré la tierra de Canaán, como porción hereditaria de todos ustedes».
19 When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there,	19 Cuando formaban un grupo muy pequeño y eran extranjeros en aquellas regiones;
20 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,	20 cuando iban de nación en nación y pasaban de un reino a otro pueblo,
21 He let no one oppress them, and for their sake he rebuked kings:	21 no toleró que nadie los oprimiera, y castigó a reyes, por amor a ellos:
22 "Touch not my anointed, and to my prophets do no harm."	22 «No toquen a mis ungidos ni maltraten a mis profetas».
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth, announce his salvation, day after day	23 Cante al Señor toda la tierra, día tras día, proclamen su victoria.
24 Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.	24 Anuncien su gloria entre las naciones, y sus maravillas entre los pueblos.
25 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; and awesome is he, beyond all gods.	25 Porque el Señor es grande y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.
26 For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens.	26 Los dioses de los pueblos no son más que apariencia, pero el Señor hizo el cielo;
27 Splendor and majesty go before him; praise and joy are in his holy place.	27 en su presencia hay esplendor y majestad, en su Santuario, poder y alegría.
28 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and praise;	28 Aclamen al Señor, familias de los pueblos, aclamen la gloria y el poder del Señor;
29 Give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts, and enter his presence; worship the LORD in holy attire.	29 aclamen la gloria del nombre del Señor, preséntense ante él, trayendo una ofrenda.
30 Tremble before him, all the earth; he has made the world firm, not to be moved.	30 ¡Que toda la tierra tiemble ante él! El mundo está firmemente establecido: ¡no se moverá jamás!
31 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let them say among the nations: The LORD is king.	31 Alégrese el cielo y exulte la tierra, digan entre las naciones: «¡El Señor reina!».
32 Let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains rejoice and all that is in them!	32 Resuene el mar y todo lo que hay en él, regocíjese el campo con todos sus frutos.
33 Then shall all the trees of the forest exult before the LORD, for he comes: he comes to rule the earth.	33 Griten de gozo los árboles del bosque, griten de gozo delante del Señor, porque él viene a gobernar la tierra.
34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever;	34 ¡Den gracias al Señor, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
35 And say, "Save us, O God, our savior, gather us and deliver us from the nations, That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you."	35 Díganle: «¡Sálvanos, Dios de nuestra salvación! Congréganos y líbranos de las naciones, para que demos gracias a tu santo Nombre y nos gloriemos en tu alabanza».
36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, through all eternity! Let all the people say, Amen! Alleluia.	36 ¡Bendito sea el Señor, el Dios de Israel, desde siempre y para siempre!». Y todo el pueblo respondió: «¡Amén!». «¡Alabanza al Señor!».
37 Then David left Asaph and his brethren there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly according to the daily ritual;	37 David dejó delante del Arca de la Alianza del Señor a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para que prestaran servicio permanentemente delante del Arca, según el ritual de cada día;
38 he also left there Obed-edom and sixty-eight of his brethren, including Obed-edom, son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, to be gatekeepers.	38 también dejó a Obededom y a sus sesenta y ocho hermanos. Obededom, hijo de Iedutún, y Josá eran porteros.
39 But the priest Zadok and his priestly brethren he left before the Dwelling of the LORD on the high place at Gibeon,	39 Al sacerdote Sadoc y a sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, los puso delante de la Morada del Señor, en el lugar alto de Gabaón,
40 to offer holocausts to the LORD on the altar of holocausts regularly, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the law of the LORD which he has decreed for Israel.	40 para que ofrecieran constantemente sacrificios al Señor en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según lo que está escrito en la Ley que el Señor dio a Israel.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the others who were chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "because his kindness endures forever,"	41 Con ellos estaban Hemán, Iedutún y los demás que habían sido elegidos nominalmente para celebrar al Señor: «¡Porque es eterno su amor!».
42 with trumpets and cymbals for accompaniment, and instruments for the sacred chant. The sons of Jeduthun kept the gate.	42 Hemán y Iedutún tenían consigo trompetas, címbalos e instrumentos musicales para acompañar los cantos de Dios. Los hijos de Iedutún eran porteros.
43 Then all the people departed, each to his own home, and David returned to bless his household.	43 Luego, todo el pueblo se fue a su casa, y David se volvió para bendecir a su casa.
