1 Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.	1 Über Moab: So spricht der Herr der Heere, der Gott Israels: Weh über Nebo, es wird verwüstet, erobert wird Kirjatajim. Zuschanden wird die Hochburg und geschleift.
2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.	2 Moabs Ruhm ist dahin. In Heschbon plante man sein Verderben: Kommt, wir rotten es aus, sodass es kein Volk mehr ist. Auch du, Madmen, wirst verstummen; das Schwert verfolgt dich.
3 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.	3 Horch! Wehgeschrei aus Horonajim: Verwüstung und große Zerstörung!
4 Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.	4 Zerstört ist Moab! So gellt der Schrei bis nach Zoar.
5 For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.	5 Die Steige von Luhit steigt man weinend hinauf. Ja, am Abstieg von Horonajim hört man über die Zerstörung entsetzliches Schreien.
6 Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.	6 Flieht, rettet euer Leben! Macht es wie der Wildesel in der Wüste!
7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.	7 Weil du auf eigene Werke und Schätze vertraut hast, wirst auch du erobert werden. In die Verbannung muss Kemosch ziehen samt seinen Priestern und Fürsten.
8 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.	8 Der Verwüster kommt über jede Stadt, keine Stadt kann sich retten. Verheert wird das Tal, verwüstet die Ebene, so spricht der Herr.
9 Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.	9 Setzt ein Grabmal für Moab; denn es verfällt ganz und gar. Seine Städte werden zur Wüste, niemand wohnt mehr darin.
10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.	10 Verflucht, wer den Auftrag des Herrn lässig betreibt, ja, verflucht, wer sein Schwert abhält vom Blutvergießen.
11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.	11 Ungestört war Moab von Jugend an, ruhig lag es auf seiner Hefe. Es wurde nicht umgeschüttet von Gefäß zu Gefäß: Nie musste es in die Verbannung ziehen.Darum blieb ihm sein Wohlgeschmack erhalten, sein Duft veränderte sich nicht.
12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.	12 Darum kommen Tage - Spruch des Herrn -, da schicke ich Kellermeister zu ihm; sie gießen es um, entleeren seine Gefäße und zerschlagen seine Krüge.
13 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.	13 Moab wird an Kemosch zuschanden, wie das Haus Israel zuschanden wurde an Bet-El, auf das es vertraute.
14 How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?	14 Wie könnt ihr sagen: Helden sind wir, starke Krieger zum Kampf?
15 Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.	15 Der Verwüster Moabs und seiner Städte steigt hinauf; da steigen seine besten jungen Männer hinab, um geschlachtet zu werden - Spruch des Königs, Herr der Heere ist sein Name.
16 The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.	16 Der Untergang Moabs rückt heran, schnell eilt sein Unglück herbei.
17 All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!	17 Beklagt es alle, ihr seine Nachbarn, und alle, die ihr seinen Namen kennt. Sagt: Ach, wie ist zerbrochen der starke Stab, das herrliche Zepter!
18 Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.	18 Steig herab von deiner Würde, setz dich in den Kot, du thronende Tochter Dibon! Denn Moabs Verwüster zieht hinauf zu dir, zerstört deine Burgen.
19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?	19 Stellt euch an den Weg und späht aus, ihr Einwohner von Aroër! Fragt den Flüchtling und die fliehende Frau, sagt: Was ist denn geschehen?
20 Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; and tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,	20 Zuschanden ist Moab, ja, ganz zerbrochen. Klagt und schreit! Meldet am Arnon: Moab ist verwüstet.
21 And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,	21 Ein Gericht kam über das ebene Land, über Holon, Jahaz und Mefaat,
22 And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,	22 über Dibon, Nebo und Bet-Diblatajim,
23 And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,	23 über Kirjatajim, Bet- Gamul und Bet-Meon,
24 And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.	24 über Kerijot und Bozra und über alle Städte des Landes Moab, die fernen und die nahen.
25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.	25 Abgehauen ist Moabs Horn, zerschmettert sein Arm [- Spruch des Herrn].
26 Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.	26 Macht es betrunken; denn es hat geprahlt gegen den Herrn. So stürze Moab in sein eigenes Gespei und verfalle nun selbst dem Gespött.
27 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.	27 Oder diente nicht Israel dir zum Gespött? Wurde es etwa beim Diebstahl ertappt, dass du höhnend den Kopf geschüttelt hast, sooft du von ihm sprachst?
28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.	28 Verlasst die Städte, wohnt in den Felsen, ihr Bewohner von Moab! Macht es wie die Taube, die nistet an den Wänden der offenen Schlucht.
29 We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.	29 Wir haben von Moabs Stolz gehört - es ist stolz über die Maßen -; von seinem Hochmut und Stolz haben wir gehört, von seinem Dünkel und hochfahrenden Sinn.
30 I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.	30 Ich kenne seinen Übermut - Spruch des Herrn -, sein Geschwätz ist nicht wahr, sein Tun ist nicht recht.
31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kir-heres.	31 Darum jammere ich laut über Moab, über ganz Moab klage ich und seufze über die Leute von Kir- Heres.
32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.	32 Mehr als um Jaser weine ich um dich, Weinstock von Sibma; bis ans Meer zogen sich deine Ranken hin, sie reichten bis Jaser. Über deine Weinlese und Ernte fiel der Verwüster her.
33 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.	33 Verschwunden sind Freude und Jubelgeschrei vom Fruchtland und vom Land Moab. Die Kufen sind leer von Wein, kein Winzer keltert, kein Jauchzen ertönt.
34 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.	34 Das Schreien von Heschbon und Elale dringt bis Jahaz, laut klagt man von Zoar bis Horonajim und Eglat-Schelischija; denn selbst das Wasser von Nimrim versiegt.
35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.	35 Ich mache es für Moab unmöglich - Spruch des Herrn -, dass jemand auf der Kulthöhe opfert und seinen Göttern Rauchopfer darbringt.
36 Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished.	36 Darum jammert mein Herz um Moab wie eine Flöte, ja mein Herz jammert um die Leute von Kir-Heres wie eine Flöte, weil sie ihre ganze Habe verloren.
37 For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.	37 Jedes Haupt ist kahl geschoren und jeder Bart abgeschnitten, an allen Händen sind Trauermale und um die Hüften Trauerkleider.
38 There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD.	38 Auf allen Dächern und Plätzen Moabs hört man nichts als Klage. Ja, ich zerschlage Moab wie ein Gefäß, das niemand mehr will - Spruch des Herrn.
39 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.	39 Ach, wie ist es zerbrochen, wie hat Moab sich schmählich zur Flucht gewandt! So wird Moab zum Gespött und zu einem Bild des Entsetzens für all seine Nachbarn.
40 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.	40 Denn so spricht der Herr: Seht, wie ein Adler schwebt es heran und breitet seine Schwingen über Moab aus.
41 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.	41 Die Städte werden erobert, die Festungen eingenommen. Das Herz der Helden Moabs ist an jenem Tag wie das Herz einer Frau in Wehen.
42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.	42 Vernichtet wird Moab, sodass es kein Volk mehr ist; denn es hat geprahlt gegen den Herrn.
43 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.	43 Grauen, Grube und Garn warten auf dich, Bewohner von Moab - Spruch des Herrn.
44 He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.	44 Wer dem Grauen entflieht, fällt in die Grube, wer aus der Grube steigt, fängt sich im Garn. Ja, das werde ich über Moab bringen im Jahr seiner Bestrafung - Spruch des Herrn.
45 They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.	45 Im Schatten von Heschbon bleiben erschöpft Flüchtlinge stehen. Doch Feuer geht aus von Heschbon, eine Flamme von Sihons Haus. Es verzehrt die Schläfe Moabs, den Scheitel der lärmenden Schreier.
46 Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.	46 Wehe dir, Moab, verloren bist du, Volk des Kemosch. Denn deine Söhne schleppt man in die Verbannung, deine Töchter in die Gefangenschaft.
47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.	47 Aber in ferner Zukunft wende ich Moabs Geschick - Spruch des Herrn. [Bis hierher geht das Gerichtswort über Moab.]
