Isaiah 45

1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;	1 Questo dice lo Signore a Ciro mio cristo, la cui mano diritta io presi, acciò ch' io sottometta sotto la sua faccia le genti; e rivolgerò li dorsi delli re; (lo Signore si vuole fare menzione del figliuolo, cioè di Cristo, e parla d' uno re il quale ebbe nome Ciro, e a lui l'assomiglia); e, io aprirò innanzi a lui le porte, e non li saranno chiuse.
2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:	2 Io anderò innanzi a te, e adumilierò gli uomini della terra i quali si tengono d' avere gloria; io romperò le porte del metallo, e spezzarò li chiavistelli di ferro.
3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.	3 E darò a te li tesori nascosi, e le cose coperte de' secreti; acciò che tu sappi ch' io sono lo Signore, il quale chiamo lo tuo nome, lo Signore Iddio d' Israel,
4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.	4 per lo mio servo Iacob, e per lo mio eletto Israel, e io ti chiamai nel tuo nome; e io t'assomigliai, e non mi conoscesti.
5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:	5 Io son Iddio, e non ne sono più; e sanza me non è Iddio; io cinsi te, e non mi conoscesti,
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.	6 acciò che sappiano quelli che stanno da oriente e occidente, che sanza me non è altro Iddio; io sono Iddio, e non è altro,
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.	7 il quale formò la luce e creò le tenebre, fece la pace e creoe lo male; io son lo Signore il quale fece tutte queste cose.
8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.	8 O cieli, bagnate di sopra, e li nuvoli piovano lo giusto; e aprasi la terra, e mandi fuori lo salvatore, e la giustizia nasca insieme: io Signore creai lui.
9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?	9 Guai a colui il quale contradice al suo fattore, il qual si è come lo vaso fatto della terra dell' isola di Samo: or dice lo loto (cioè la terra molle e menata) allo maestro delli vasi: che fai tu, e (dice) la tua opera è sanza mani?
10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?	10 Guai a colui che dice al padre: che ingeneri? e alla femina: che partorisci?
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.	11 Questo dice lo Signore d' Israel, (io sono) suo formatore addomandate me delle cose che debbono venire sopra li miei figliuoli, e comandate a me sopra l'opere delle mie mani.
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.	12 Io feci la terra, e creai l'uomo sopra di quella; le mie mani distesono li cieli, e io feci lo comandamento ad ogni milizia del cielo.
13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.	13 Io farò venire lui alla giustizia, e dirizzeroe tutte le sue vie; elli edificherà la mia cittade, e lascerà la mia prigionia, e non per prezzo nè per doni, dice lo Signore delli esèrciti.
14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.	14 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: la fatica di Egitto e la marcadanzia di Etiopia e li uomini gentili di Saba passeranno a te, e saranno tuoi; anderanno dietro a te (e diranno) colle mani legate; e adoreranno te, e pregheranno te (e diranno pure): solo in te è Iddio, e Iddio non è sanza te.
15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.	15 Veramente tu se' Iddio nascosto, Iddio salvatore d' Israel
16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.	16 E sono confusi, e vergognaronsi tutti; insieme [li errori e] li loro fabricatori anderanno nella sua confusione.
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.	17 Israel è salvato da Dio per salute eterna; e non riceverete confusione, e non averete vergogna in sempiterno.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.	18 Però che questo dice lo Signore, che creò li cieli; egli è Iddio che forma la terra e che fa quella; egli è lo suo formatore, e non creò quella invano, ma formò quella acciò che fosse abitata: io sono lo Signore, e non è altro.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.	19 Io non hoe parlato di nascosto in luogo tenebroso della terra; io non dissi al seme di Iacob (cioè a' suoi figliuoli): indarno voi cercate me; io sono lo Signore, che parlo giustizia e annuncio le cose diritte.
20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.	20 Radunatevi e venite e accostatevi insieme, voi che siete salvati delle genti; (le quali non seppono, e) non conobbono il bene alcuni di loro, i quali levano lo legno dello loro idolo, e priegano lo iddio che non salva.
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.	21 Annunciate e venite e abbiate consiglio insieme: chi fece mai udire questo dal principio del mondo? e io allora dissi quello innanzi : or non sono io lo Signore? è egli altro sanza me? Non è alcuno Iddio giusto che possa salvare, se non io.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.	22 Convertitevi a me, e sarete salvi in tutti li confini della terra; però ch' io sono Iddio, e non è altro.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.	23 Io giurai in me medesimo, che della mia bocca uscirà parola di giustizia, e non ritornerà.
24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.	24 Però che a me s' inginocchierà ogni cosa, e ogni lingua giurerà.
25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.	25 Dunque diranno questo in Iddio: le giustizie e le signorie sono mie; e a lui verranno, e saranno confusi tutti quelli che vogliono contrastare a lui.
	26 Nel Signore sarà giustificata, e sarà lodata ogni generazione d'Israel.
