2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.	2 Quando gli Zifei andarono a dire a Saul: « Oh non s'è nascosto tra noi David? »
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.	3 Salvami pel tuo nome, o Dio, rendimi giustizia colla tua potenza.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.	4 O Dio, esaudisci la mia preghiera, porgi l'orecchio alle parole della mia bocca.
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.	5 Perché degli stranieri si son levati contro di me, dei violenti m'attentano la vita; gente che non tiene Dio davanti agli occhi.
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.	6 Ma ecco Dio m'aiuta, il Signore difende la mia vita.
	7 Fai ricadere il male sopra i miei nemici, nella tua fedeltà annientali.
	8 Allora t'offrirò spontanei sacrifizi, e darò lode al tuo nome, perchè è buono,
	9 Perchè tu m'hai salvato da ogni tribolazione, e l'occhio mio può guardar con disprezzo i miei nemici.
