1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.	1 Cantico de' gradi. Levai gli occhi miei a' monti, donde verrà a me l'aiuto.
2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.	2 Il mio aiuto sarà dal Signore, il quale ha fatto il cielo e la terra.
3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?	3 Non darà in commoversi il piede tuo; e non si addormentarà chi ha cura di te.
4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.	4 Ecco che non dormirà, nè etiam si addormentarà, chi ha guardia d' Israel.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!	5 Il Signore ha te in guardia; il Signore è la defensione tua, sopra la mano destra tua.
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.	6 Per il giorno non ti abbruciarà il sole, nè la luna per notte.
7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.	7 Il Signore ti guarda da ogni male; il Signore guardi l' anima tua.
	8 Il Signore guardi l'entrare tuo e uscire; in ora e sempre insino IN SECULA.
