Psalms 116

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.	1 Amo al Señor, porque él escucha el clamor de mi súplica,
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.	2 porque inclina su oído hacia mí, cuando yo lo invoco.
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.	3 Los lazos de la muerte me envolvieron, me alcanzaron las redes del Abismo, caí en la angustia y la tristeza;
4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.	4 entonces invoqué al Señor: «¡Por favor, sálvame la vida!».
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.	5 El Señor es justo y bondadoso, nuestro Dios es compasivo;
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.	6 el Señor protege a los sencillos: yo estaba en la miseria y me salvó.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.	7 Alma mía, recobra la calma, porque el Señor ha sido bueno contigo.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.	8 El libró mi vida de la muerte, mis ojos de las lágrimas y mis pies de la caída.
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.	9 Yo caminaré en la presencia del Señor, en la tierra de los vivientes.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:	10 Tenía confianza, incluso cuando dije: «¡Qué grande es mi desgracia!».
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.	11 Yo, que en mi turbación llegué a decir: «¡Los hombres son todos mentirosos!».
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?	12 ¿Con qué pagaré al Señor todo el bien que me hizo?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.	13 Alzaré la copa de la salvación e invocaré el nombre del Señor.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.	14 Cumpliré mis votos al Señor, en presencia de todo su pueblo.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.	15 ¡Qué penosa es para el Señor la muerte de sus amigos!
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.	16 Yo, Señor, soy tu servidor, tu servidor, lo mismo que mi madre: por eso rompiste mis cadenas.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.	17 Te ofreceré un sacrificio de alabanza, e invocaré el nombre del Señor.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,	18 Cumpliré mis votos al Señor, en presencia de todo su pueblo,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.	19 en los atrios de la Casa del Señor, en medio de ti, Jerusalén. ¡Aleluya!
