1 And the lot of the sons of Joseph fell from the Jordan over against Jericho and the waters thereof, on the east: the wilderness which goeth up from Jericho to the mountain of Bethel:	1 La parte toccata in sorte ai figli di Giuseppe fu dal Giordano di faccia a Gerico, da levante, il deserto, che sale da Gerico, al monte Betel;
2 And goeth out from Bethel to Luza: and passeth the border of Archi, to Ataroth,	2 si avanza da Betel Luza, passa lungo i confini di Archi ad Atarot;
3 And goeth down westward, by the border of Jephleti, unto the borders of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gazer :and the countries of it are ended by the great sea:	3 scende verso occidente lungo i confini di Ieflet sino ai confini di Betoron inferiore e di Gazer: le sue regioni finiscono al Mar Grande,
4 And Manasses and Ephraim the children of Joseph possessed it.	4 e le possedettero i figli di Giuseppe: Manasse ed Efraim.
5 And the border of the children of Ephraim was according to their kindreds: and their possession towards the east was Ataroth-addar unto Beth-horon the upper.	5 La frontiera dei figli d' Efraim divisi nelle loro famiglie, il loro possesso, dall'oriente, fu Atarotaddar sino a Betoron superiore,
6 And the confines go out unto the sea: but Machmethath looketh to the north, and it goeth round the borders eastward into Thanath-selo: and passeth along on the east side to Janoe.	6 e i suoi confini vanno fino al mare; guarda poi Macmetat a settentrione, gira a levante verso Tanatselo, passa ad oriente di Ianoe;
7 And it goeth down from Janoe into Ataroth and Naaratha: and it cometh to Jericho, and goeth out to the Jordan.	7 Da Ianoe scende ad Atarot, a Narata e arriva a Gerico, andando a finire al Giordano.
8 From Taphua it passeth on towards the sea into the valley of reeds, and the goings out thereof are at the most salt sea. This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.	8 Da Tafua va verso il mare sino alla valle del canneto, e finisce al Mar Salato. Questo è il possesso della tribù dei figli d'Efraim, secondo le loro famiglie.
9 And there were cities with their villages separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the possession of the children of Manasses.	9 E furon messe da parte per i figli d'Efraim delle città coi loro villaggi in mezzo ai possessi dei figli di Manasse.
10 And the children of Ephraim slew not the Chanaanite, who dwelt in Gazer: and the Chanaanite dwelt in the midst of Ephraim until this day, paying tribute.	10 Ma i figli d'Efraim non distrussero il Cananeo che abitava in Gazer, e il Cananeo è rimasto fino al presente come tributario in mezzo ad Efraim.,
