Isaiah 61

1 The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me: he hath sent me to preach to the meek, to heal the contrite of heart, and to preach a release to the captives, and deliverance to them that are shut up.	1 - Lo spirito del Signore sopra di me, perchè il Signore mi ha Unto, mi ha mandato ad annunziare ai mansueti la buona novella, a curare i contriti di cuore, a bandire franchigia agli schiavi e liberazione ai prigionieri.
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God: to comfort all that mourn:	2 A predicare l'anno propizio alla grazia del Signore, e il giorno della riparazione dovuta al nostro Dio: per consolare tutti gli afflitti;
3 To appoint to the mourners of Sion, and to give them a crown for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise for the spirit of grief: and they shall be called in it the mighty ones of justice, the planting of the Lord to glorify hint.	3 per rassicurare i piangenti di Sion che io darò loro corona in luogo di cenere, profumo di letizia invece di lutto, indumento festivo in cambio di aria di mestizia; e che i suoi saranno chiamati campioni della giustizia, piantagione del Signore, a sua gloria.
4 And they shall build the places that have been waste from of old, and shall raise up ancient ruins, and shall repair the desolate cities, that were destroyed for generation and generation.	4 E riedificheranno i ruderi secolari, e faranno risorgere le antiche rovine, e rinnoveranno le città deserte e diroccate nelle generazioni trascorse.
5 And strangers shall stand and shall feed your flocks: and the sons of strangers shall be your husbandmen, and the dressers of your vines.	5 E si stabiliranno gli stranieri e pascoleranno le vostre greggi; e i figli dei forestieri saranno i vostri agricoltori e i vostri vignaiuoli.
6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord: to you it shall be said: Ye ministers of our God: you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and you shall pride yourselves in their glory.	6 E voi sarete chiamati Sacerdoti del Signore; vi appelleranno Ministri del nostro Dio; voi sarete alimentati colle sostanze delle genti, e del loro fasto andrete orgogliosi.
7 For your double confusion and shame, they shall praise their part: therefore shall they receive double in their land, everlasting joy shall be unto them.	7 Per le vostre raddoppiate confusioni e vergogne, loderanno la sorte di quelli a cui toccarono, perciocchè nella loro terra a doppi ripossederanno; sempiterna sarà la loro allegrezza.
8 For I am the Lord that love judgment, and hate robbery in a holocaust: and I will make their work in truth, and I will make a perpetual covenant with them.	8 Perchè io, il Signore, amo il giusto e odio la rapina unita all'olocausto; e ripagherò con fedeltà l'opera loro e stringerò con essi un patto eterno.
9 And they shall know their seed among the Gentiles, and their offspring in the midst of peoples: all that shall see them, shall know them, that these are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.	9 E il loro seme si conoscerà tra le genti e la loro stirpe in mezzo ai popoli; tutti quei che li vedranno li riconosceranno, per esser essi quel seme cui benedisse il Signore.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my soul shall be joyful in my God: for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation: and with the robe of justice he hath covered me, as a bridegroom decked with a crown, and as a bride adorned with her jewels.	10 Godrò pieno di gioia nel Signore, ed esulterà l'anima mia nel mio Dio; perchè mi ha rivestito della veste della salute e mi ha ravvolto nel manto della giustizia, come sposo fregiato d'una corona e come sposa ornata delle sue gioie.
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth her seed to shoot forth: so shall the Lord God make justice to spring forth, and praise before all the nations.	11 Poichè, come la terra fa uscire i suoi germogli, e come un giardino fa germinare i suoi semi, così il Signore farà germinare la giustizia e la lode al cospetto di tutte le genti.
