Isaiah 16

1 Send forth, O Lord, the lamb, the ruler of the earth, from Petra of the desert, to the mount of the daughter of Sion.	1 Αποστειλατε το αρνιον προς τον αρχοντα της γης, απο Σελα εν τη ερημω προς το ορος της θυγατρος της Σιων.
2 And it shall come to pass, that as a bird fleeing away, and as young ones flying out of the nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be in the passage of Arnon.	2 Διοτι ως πτηνον πλανωμενον, απο της φωλεας αυτου δεδιωγμενον, ουτως αι θυγατερες του Μωαβ θελουσιν εισθαι κατα τας διαβασεις του Αρνων.
3 Take counsel, gather a council: make thy shadow as the night in the midday: hide them that flee, and betray not them that wander about.	3 Βουλευου, εκτελεσον το δικαιον? εν τω μεσω της ημερας καμε την σκιαν σου ως νυκτα? κρυψον τους διωκομενους? μη φανερωσης τον περιπλανωμενον.
4 My fugitives shall dwell with thee: O Moab, be thou a covert to them from the face of the destroyer: for the dust is at an end, the wretch is consumed: he hath failed, that trod the earth under foot.	4 Οι δεδιωγμενοι μου ας παροικησωσι παρα σοι, Μωαβ? γενου εις αυτους σκεπη απο προσωπου του πορθητου? διοτι ο αρπακτηρ ετελειωσεν, ο πορθητης επαυσεν, οι καταδυνασται εξωλοθρευθησαν απο της γης.
5 And a throne shall be prepared in mercy, and one shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment and quickly rendering that which is just.	5 Και μετα ελεους θελει συσταθη ο θρονος, και επ' αυτον θελει καθησει εν αληθεια, εν τη σκηνη του Δαβιδ, ο κρινων και εκζητων κρισιν και σπευδων δικαιοσυνην.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab, he is exceeding proud: his pride and his arrogancy, and his indignation is more than his strength.	6 Ηκουσαμεν την υπερηφανιαν του Μωαβ, ειναι λιαν υπερηφανος? την υψηλοφροσυνην αυτου και την αλαζονειαν αυτου και την μανιαν αυτου? τα ψευδη αυτου θελουσι ματαιωθη.
7 Therefore shall Moab howl to Moab, every one shall howl: to them that rejoice upon the brick walls, tell ye their stripes.	7 Δια τουτο ο Μωαβ θελει ολολυξει? παντες θελουσιν ολολυξει δια τον Μωαβ? θελετε θρηνολογησει δια τα θεμελια της Κιρ-αρεσεθ? εκτυπηθησαν βεβαιως.
8 For the suburbs of Hesebon are desolate, and the lords of the nations have destroyed the vineyard of Sabama: the branches thereof have reached even to Jazer: they have wandered in the wilderness, the branches thereof are left, they are gone over the sea.	8 Διοτι αι πεδιαδες της Εσεβων ειναι ητονημεναι και η αμπελος της Σιβμα? οι κυριοι των εθνων κατεσυντριψαν τα καλητερα αυτης φυτα, τα οποια ηρχοντο εως της Ιαζηρ, και περιεπλανωντο δια της ερημου? οι κλαδοι αυτης ησαν εξηπλωμενοι, διεβαινον την θαλασσαν.
9 Therefore I will lament with the weeping of Jazer the vineyard of Sabama: I will water thee with my tears, O Hesebon, and Eleale: for the voice of the treaders hath rushed in upon thy vintage, and upon thy harvest.	9 Δια τουτο μετα κλαυθμου της Ιαζηρ θελω κλαυσει την αμπελον της Σιβμα θελω σε βρεξει με τα δακρυα μου, Εσεβων και Ελεαλη? διοτι επι τους θερινους καρπους σου και επι τον θερισμον σου επεπεσεν αλαλαγμος.
10 And gladness and joy shall be taken away from Carmel, and there shall be no rejoicing nor shouting in the vineyards. He shall not tread out wine in the press that was wont to tread it out: the voice of the treaders I have taken away.	10 Και αφηρεθη η ευφροσυνη και η αγαλλιασις απο της καρποφορου πεδιαδος? και εις τους αμπελωνας σου δεν θελουσιν εισθαι πλεον ασματα ουδε φωναι αγαλλιασεως? οι ληνοπαται δεν θελουσι πατει οινον εν τοις ληνοις? εγω κατεπαυσα τον αλαλαγμον του τρυγητου.
11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for the brick wall.	11 Οθεν τα εντοσθια μου θελουσιν ηχησει ως κιθαρα δια τον Μωαβ, και τα εσωτερικα μου δια την Κιρ-αρες.
12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is wearied on his high places, that he shall go in to his sanctuaries to pray, and shall not prevail.	12 Και ο Μωαβ, οταν φανη οτι απεκαμεν επι τους βωμους αυτου, θελει εισελθει εις το αγιαστηριον αυτου δια να προσευχηθη? πλην δεν θελει επιτυχει.
13 This is the word, that the Lord spoke to Moab from that time:	13 Ουτος ειναι ο λογος, τον οποιον εκτοτε ελαλησε Κυριος περι του Μωαβ.
14 And now the Lord hath spoken, saying: In three years, as the years of a hireling, the glory of Moab shall be taken away for all the multitude of the people, and it shall be left small and feeble, not many.	14 Τωρα δε ο Κυριος ελαλησε λεγων, Εις τρια ετη, ως ειναι τα ετη του μισθωτου, η δοξα του Μωαβ θελει καταφρονηθη μεθ' ολου του μεγαλου πληθους αυτου? και το υπολοιπον θελει εισθαι πολυ ολιγον και αδυνατον.
