1 Thou shalt make also an altar to burn incense, of setim wood.	1 "Tu feras un autel où faire fumer l'encens, tu le fera en bois d'acacia.
2 It shall be a cubit in length, and another in breadth, that is, foursquare, and two in height. Horns shall go out of the same.	2 D'une coudée de long et d'une coudée de large, il sera carré, et il aura deux coudées et demie dehaut; ses cornes feront corps avec lui.
3 And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold, as well as the grate thereof, as the walls round about and the horns. And thou shalt make to it a crown of gold round about,	3 Tu plaqueras d'or pur sa partie supérieure, ses parois tout autour et ses cornes, et tu lui feras toutautour une moulure d'or.
4 And two golden rings under the crown on either side, that the bars may be put into them, and the altar be carried.	4 Tu lui feras deux anneaux d'or au-dessous de la moulure, sur ses deux côtés; tu les feras sur les deuxfaces pour y loger les barres servant à son transport.
5 And thou shalt make the bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold.	5 Tu feras ces barres en bois d'acacia, et tu les plaqueras d'or.
6 And thou shalt set the altar over against the veil, that hangeth before the ark of the testimony before the propitiatory wherewith the testimony is covered, where I will speak to thee.	6 Tu le mettras devant le rideau qui pend devant l'arche du Témoignage -- devant le propitiatoire quiest sur le Témoignage -- où je te donnerai rendez-vous.
7 And Aaron shall burn sweet smelling incense upon it in the morning. When he shall dress the lamps, he shall burn it:	7 Aaron y fera fumer l'encens aromatique chaque matin, quand il mettra les lampes en ordre il le ferafumer.
8 And when he shall place them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.	8 Et quand Aaron replacera les lampes, au crépuscule, il le fera encore fumer. C'est un encensperpétuel devant Yahvé, pour vos générations.
9 You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition nor oblation, and victim, neither shall you offer libations.	9 Vous n'offrirez dessus ni encens profane ni holocauste ni oblation, et vous n'y verserez aucunelibation.
10 And Aaron shall pray upon the horns thereof once a year, with the blood of that which was offered for sin, and shall make atonement upon it in your generations. It shall be most holy to the Lord.	10 Une fois l'an, Aaron fera l'expiation sur les cornes de l'autel; avec le sang du sacrifice pour lepéché, au jour de l'Expiation, une fois l'an, il fera l'expiation pour lui, pour vos générations; il est éminemmentsaint, pour Yahvé."
11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	11 Yahvé parla à Moïse et lui dit:
12 When thou shalt take the sum of the children of Israel according to their number, every one of them shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there shall be no scourge among them, when they shall be reckoned.	12 "Quand tu dénombreras les Israélites par le recensement, chacun d'eux donnera à Yahvé la rançonde sa vie pour qu'aucun fléau n'éclate parmi eux à l'occasion du recensement.
13 And this shall every one give that passeth at the naming, half a sicle according to the standard of the temple. A sicle hath twenty obols. Half a sicle shall be offered to the Lord.	13 Quiconque est soumis au recensement donnera un demi-sicle sur la base du sicle du sanctuaire:vingt géras par sicle. Ce demi-sicle sera un prélèvement pour Yahvé.
14 He that is counted in the number from twenty years and upwards, shall give the price.	14 Quiconque est soumis au recensement, c'est-à-dire âgé de vingt ans et au-delà, donnera leprélèvement de Yahvé.
15 The rich man shall not add to half a sicle, and the poor man shall diminish nothing.	15 Le riche ne donnera pas plus et le pauvre ne donnera pas moins d'un demi-sicle lorsqu'il donnera leprélèvement pour Yahvé, en rançon de vos vies.
16 And the money received which was contributed by the children of Israel, thou shalt deliver unto the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may be merciful to their souls.	16 Tu prendras l'argent de la rançon des Israélites, et tu le donneras au service de la Tente du Rendez-vous; il sera pour les Israélites un mémorial devant Yahvé, pour la rançon de vos vies."
17 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	17 Yahvé parla à Moïse et lui dit:
18 Thou shalt make also a brazen laver with its foot, to wash in: and thou shalt set it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And water being put into it,	18 "Tu feras pour les ablutions un bassin de bronze à socle de bronze; tu le mettras entre la Tente duRendez-vous et l'autel, et tu y mettras de l'eau,
19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:	19 avec quoi Aaron et ses fils laveront leurs mains et leurs pieds.
20 When they are going into the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they are to come to the altar, to offer on it incense to the Lord,	20 Quand ils entreront dans la Tente du Rendez-vous, ils se laveront avec de l'eau afin de ne pasmourir; de même, quand ils s'approcheront de l'autel pour le service, pour faire fumer une offrande consuméepour Yahvé,
21 Lest perhaps they die. It shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his seed by successions.	21 ils laveront leurs mains et leurs pieds, afin de ne pas mourir: c'est là un décret perpétuel pour lui etsa descendance, pour leurs générations."
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses,	22 Yahvé parla à Moïse et lui dit:
23 Saying: Take spices, of principal and chosen myrrh five hundred sicles, and of cinnamon half so much, that is, two hundred and fifty sicles, of calamus in like manner two hundred and fifty.	23 "Pour toi, prends des parfums de choix: 500 sicles de myrrhe vierge, la moitié de cinnamomeodoriférant: 250 sicles, et de roseau odoriférant 250 sicles.
24 And of cassia five hundred sicles by the weight of the sanctuary, of oil of olives the measure hin:	24 500 sicles de casse -- selon le sicle du sanctuaire -- et un setier d'huile d'olives.
25 And thou shalt make the holy oil of unction, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer,	25 Tu en feras une huile d'onction sainte, un mélange odoriférant comme en compose le parfumeur:ce sera une huile d'onction sainte.
26 And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,	26 Tu en oindras la Tente du Rendez-vous et l'arche du Témoignage,
27 And the table with the vessels thereof, the candlestick and furniture thereof, the altars of incense,	27 la table et tous ses accessoires, les candélabres et ses accessoires, l'autel des parfums,
28 And of holocaust, and all the furniture that belongeth to the service of them.	28 l'autel des holocaustes et tous ses accessoires, le bassin et son socle.
29 And thou shalt sanctify all, and they shall be most holy: he that shall touch them shall be sanctified.	29 Tu les consacreras, ils seront alors éminemment saints, et tout ce qui les touchera sera saint.
30 Thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.	30 Tu oindras Aaron et ses fils, et tu les consacreras pour qu'ils exercent mon sacerdoce.
31 And thou shalt say to the children of Israel: This oil of unction shall be holy unto me throughout your generations.	31 Puis tu parleras aux Israélites et tu leur diras: ceci sera pour vous, pour vos générations, une huiled'onction sainte.
32 The flesh of man shall not be anointed therewith, and you shall make none other of the same composition, because it is sanctified, and shall be holy unto you.	32 On n'en versera pas sur le corps d'un homme quelconque et vous n'en ferez pas de semblable, demême composition. C'est une chose sainte, elle sera sainte pour vous.
33 What man soever shall compound such, and shall give thereof to a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.	33 Quiconque fera le même parfum et en mettra sur un profane sera retranché de son peuple."
34 And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight.	34 Yahvé dit à Moïse: "Prends des aromates: storax, onyx, galbanum, aromates et pur encens, chacunen quantité égale
35 And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.	35 et tu en feras un parfum à brûler comme en opère le parfumeur, salé, pur, saint.
36 And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.	36 Tu en broieras finement une partie et tu en mettras devant le Témoignage, dans la Tente duRendez-vous, là où je te donnerai rendez-vous. Il sera pour vous éminemment saint.
37 You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.	37 Le parfum que tu fais là, vous n'en ferez pas pour vous-mêmes de même composition. Il sera saintpour toi, réservé à Yahvé. Quiconque fera le même pour en humer l'odeur, sera retranché de son peuple."
38 What man soever shall make the like, to enjoy the smell thereof, he shall perish out of his people.
