Ezechiele 24

DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 OR nell’anno nono, del decimo mese, nel decimo giorno del mese, la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata dicendo:	1 In the ninth year, on the tenth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,
2 Figliuol d’uomo, scriviti il nome di questo giorno, di questo stesso giorno; il re di Babilonia si è posto sopra Gerusalemme questo stesso giorno.	2 'Son of man, write down today's date, yes, today's, for this very day the king of Babylon began hisattack on Jerusalem.
3 E proponi una parabola a questa casa ribelle, e di’ loro: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Metti la pignatta al fuoco; mettivela ed anche versavi dentro dell’acqua.	3 So pronounce a parable for this tribe of rebels. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Put the pot on thefire; put it on; pour the water in!
4 Raccogli i suoi pezzi di carne dentro di essa, ogni buon pezzo, coscia, e spalla; empila della scelta delle ossa.	4 Now put the cuts of meat al in together, al the best cuts, leg and shoulder. Fill it with the best bones.
5 Prendi delle migliori bestie della greggia, e anche disponi le ossa nel fondo di essa; falla bollire a gran bollori, e sieno anche le sue ossa cotte dentro di essa.	5 Take the best of the flock, then heap wood underneath; boil it thoroughly until even the bones arecooked.
6 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai alla città di sangue, alla pignatta, che ha dentro di sè la sua bruttura, la cui bruttura non è uscita fuori! vuotala a pezzo a pezzo; non traggasi la sorte sopra essa.	6 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city, for that rusty cooking pot whose rust wil not come off! Empty it, bit by bit, not bothering to draw lots;
7 Conciossiachè il suo sangue sia stato in mezzo di lei; essa l’ha posto sopra un sasso liscio, non l’ha sparso in terra, per coprirlo di polvere.	7 for she is stil ful of bloodshed, she has put blood on the naked rock; she did not pour it on the groundso as to cover it with dust.
8 Io altresì, montando in ira, per far vendetta, metterò il suo sangue sopra un sasso liscio, acciocchè non sia coperto.	8 To make anger rise, to exact vengeance, I have put her blood on the naked rock, so that it should notbe covered:
9 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai alla città di sangue! anch’io farò una grande stipa;	9 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city! I too plan to build a great fire.
10 mettendovi legne assai, accendendo il fuoco, e facendo consumar la carne, e riducendola ad esser come una composizione di odori; talchè anche le ossa saranno arse.	10 Heap on the wood, light it, cook the meat, prepare the seasoning let the bones burn!
11 Poi facendola star vuota sopra le sue brace; acciocchè si riscaldi, e sia bruciato il suo rame, e che la sua bruttura sia strutta in mezzo di essa, e che la sua schiuma sia consumata.	11 Put the empty pot on the coals to make it hot, until the bronze glows, the filth inside melts and therust is burnt away!
12 Ella si è affaticata intorno a cose vane, e la sua grossa schiuma non è uscita fuor di lei; la sua schiuma non è uscita per lo fuoco.	12 "But al that rust would not come off in the fire.
13 Vi è scelleratezza nella tua immondizia; perciocchè io ti avea nettata, e tu non sei stata netta; tu non sarai più nettata della tua immondizia, finchè io abbia acquetata l’ira mia sopra te.	13 Your filth is infamous. Since I have tried to purge you and you would not let yourself be purged ofyour filth, so now you wil never be purged of your filth until I have sated my anger on you.
14 Io, il Signore, ho parlato; la cosa avverrà, ed io l’eseguirò; io non la rivocherò, e non risparmierò, e non mi pentirò. Coloro ti giudicheranno secondo le tue vie, e secondo i tuoi fatti, dice il Signore Iddio	14 I, Yahweh, have spoken; this wil happen; I shal act and not relent; I shal show no pity, nocompassion. You will be judged as your conduct and actions deserve -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
15 La parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:	15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
16 Figliuol d’uomo, ecco, io ti tolgo il desio de’ tuoi occhi, per una piaga; e tu, non farne cordoglio, e non piangerne, e non ispanderne lagrime.	16 'Son of man, at a blow I am about to deprive you of the delight of your eyes. But you are not tolament, not to weep, not to let your tears run down.
17 Rimanti di sospirare, non far duolo di morto; legati la tua tiara in sul capo, e mettiti le tue scarpe ne’ piedi, e non velarti il labbro disopra, e non mangiare il pan delle persone afflitte.	17 Groan in silence, do not go into mourning for the dead, knot your turban round your head, put yoursandals on your feet, do not cover your beard, do not eat the usual food.'
18 Io parlai adunque la mattina al popolo, e la sera la mia moglie morì; e la mattina seguente feci come mi era stato comandato.	18 I told this to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, and the next morning I did asI had been ordered.
19 E il popolo mi disse: Non ci dichiarerai tu ciò che ci significano queste cose che tu fai?	19 The people then said to me, 'Will you not explain what meaning these actions have for us?'
20 Ed io risposi loro: La parola del Signore mi è stata indirizzata, dicendo:	20 I replied, 'The word of Yahweh has been addressed to me as fol ows,
21 Di’ alla casa d’Israele: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, io profano il mio santuario, la magnificenza della vostra forza, il desio degli occhi vostri, e la tenerezza delle anime vostre; e i vostri figliuoli, e le vostre figliuole, che voi avete lasciate, caderanno per la spada.	21 "Say to the House of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am about to profane my sanctuary, thepride of your strength, the delight of your eyes, the joy of your hearts. Your sons and daughters whom you haveleft behind wil fall by the sword.
22 E voi farete come ho fatto io; voi non vi velerete il labbro di sopra, e non mangerete il pane delle persone afflitte;	22 Then you wil do as I have done: you wil not cover your beards or eat the usual food;
23 ed avrete le vostre tiare in su la testa, e le vostre scarpe ne’ piedi; non farete cordoglio, e non piangerete; ma vi struggerete per le vostre iniquità, e gemerete l’un con l’altro.	23 you will keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you wil not lament or weepbut will waste away for your crimes, groaning among yourselves.
24 Ed Ezechiele vi sarà per segno; voi farete del tutto come egli ha fatto; quando ciò sarà avvenuto, voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore Iddio.	24 Thus Ezekiel is a sign for you. You wil do exactly what he has done. And when this happens, you willknow that I am Lord Yahweh!"
25 E quant’è a te, figliuol d’uomo, nel giorno che io torrò loro la lor forza, la gioia della lor gloria, il desio degli occhi loro, e l’intento delle anime loro, i lor figliuoli, e le lor figliuole;	25 'And, son of man, the day that I deprive them of their strength, their crowning joy, the delight of theireyes, the joy of their hearts, their sons and daughters,
26 in quel giorno, colui che sarà scampato non verrà egli a te, per fartene saper le novelle?	26 that day a survivor wil bring you the news.
27 In quel giorno la bocca tua ti sarà aperta, per parlar con colui che sarà scampato, e tu parlerai, e non sarai più mutolo, e sarai loro per segno; ed essi conosceranno che io sono il Signore	27 That day your mouth wil be opened to speak to the survivor; you wil speak and no longer be dumb;you wil be a sign for them, and they wil know that I am Yahweh.'
