1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo saludan a la Iglesia de Tesalónica, que está unida a Dios, nuestro Padre y al Señor Jesucristo.	1 Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Llegue a ustedes la gracia y la paz que proceden de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.	2 Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Hermanos, siempre debemos dar gracias a Dios a causa de ustedes, y es justo que lo hagamos, porque la fe de ustedes progresa constantemente y se acrecienta el amor de cada uno hacia los demás.	3 We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,
4 Tanto es así que, ante las Iglesias de Dios, nosotros nos sentimos orgullosos de ustedes, por la constancia y la fe con que soportan las persecuciones y contrariedades.	4 so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,
5 En esto se manifiesta el justo Juicio de Dios, para que ustedes sean encontrados dignos del Reino de Dios por el cual tienen que sufrir.	5 which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.
6 Es justo que Dios retribuya con sufrimientos a quienes los hacen sufrir a ustedes.	6 For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,
7 En cambio, a ustedes, los que sufren, les dará el descanso junto con nosotros, cuando se manifieste el Señor Jesús, que vendrá desde el cielo, con los ángeles de su poder,	7 and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,
8 en medio de un fuego ardiente. Entonces él hará justicia con aquellos que no reconocen a Dios y no obedecen al Evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesús.	8 granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Estos sufrirán como castigo la perdición eterna, alejados de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder,	9 These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue,
10 cuando él venga aquel Día para ser glorificado en sus santos y admirado por todos los que hayan creído. ¡Y ustedes han creído en nuestro testimonio!	10 when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.
11 Pensando en esto, rogamos constantemente por ustedes a fin de que Dios los haga dignos de su llamado, y lleve a término en ustedes, con su poder, todo buen propósito y toda acción inspirada en la fe.	11 Because of this, too, we pray always for you, so that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may complete every act of his goodness, as well as his work of faith in virtue,
12 Así el nombre del Señor Jesús será glorificado en ustedes, y ustedes en él, conforme a la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.	12 in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
