2 Corintios 6

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Y porque somos sus colaboradores, los exhortamos a no recibir en vano la gracia de Dios.	1 As his fel ow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing.
2 Porque él nos dice en la Escritura: En el momento favorable te escuché, y en el día de la salvación te socorrí. Este es el tiempo favorable, este es el día de la salvación.	2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you';wel , now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.
3 En cuanto a nosotros, no damos a nadie ninguna ocasión de escándalo, para que no se desprestigie nuestro ministerio.	3 We avoid putting obstacles in anyone's way, so that no blame may attach to our work of service;
4 Al contrario, siempre nos comportamos como corresponde a ministros de Dios, con una gran constancia: en las tribulaciones, en las adversidades, en las angustias,	4 but in everything we prove ourselves authentic servants of God; by resolute perseverance in times ofhardships, difficulties and distress;
5 al soportar los golpes, en la cárcel, en las revueltas, en las fatigas, en la falta de sueño, en el hambre.	5 when we are flogged or sent to prison or mobbed; labouring, sleepless, starving;
6 Nosotros obramos con integridad, con inteligencia, con paciencia, con benignidad, con docilidad al Espíritu Santo, con un amor sincero,	6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness; in the Holy Spirit, in a love free of affectation;
7 con la palabra de verdad, con el poder de Dios; usando las armas ofensivas y defensivas de la justicia;	7 in the word of truth and in the power of God; by using the weapons of uprightness for attack and fordefence:
8 sea que nos encontremos en la gloria, o que estemos humillados; que gocemos de buena o de mala fama; que seamos considerados como impostores, cuando en realidad somos sinceros;	8 in times of honour or disgrace, blame or praise; taken for impostors and yet we are genuine;
9 como desconocidos, cuando nos conocen muy bien; como moribundos, cuando estamos llenos de vida; como castigados, aunque estamos ilesos;	9 unknown and yet we are acknowledged; dying, and yet here we are, alive; scourged but not executed;
10 como tristes, aunque estamos siempre alegres; como pobres, aunque enriquecemos a muchos; como gente que no tiene nada, aunque lo poseemos todo.	10 in pain yet always ful of joy; poor and yet making many people rich; having nothing, and yet owningeverything.
11 Les hemos hablado, corintios, con toda franqueza y hemos abierto completamente nuestro corazón.	11 People of Corinth, we have spoken frankly and opened our heart to you.
12 En él hay cabida para todos ustedes; en cambio, en el de ustedes no la hay para nosotros.	12 Any distress you feel is not on our side; the distress is in your own selves.
13 Yo deseo que me paguen con la misma moneda. Les hablo como a mis propios hijos: también ustedes abran su corazón.	13 In fair exchange -- I speak as though to children of mine -- you must open your hearts too.
14 No tengan relaciones indebidas con los que no creen. Porque, ¿qué tienen en común la justicia con la iniquidad, o la luz con las tinieblas?	14 Do not harness yourselves in an uneven team with unbelievers; how can uprightness and law-breaking be partners, or what can light and darkness have in common?
15 ¿Qué entendimiento puede haber entre Cristo y Belial?, ¿o qué unión entre el creyente y el que no cree?	15 How can Christ come to an agreement with Beliar and what sharing can there be between a believerand an unbeliever?
16 ¿Qué acuerdo entre el templo de Dios y los ídolos? Porque nosotros somos el templo del Dios viviente, como lo dijo el mismo Dios: Yo habitaré y caminaré en medio de ellos; seré su Dios y ellos serán mi Pueblo.	16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are -- the temple of theliving God. We have God's word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their Godand they wil be my people.
17 Por eso, salgan de en medio de esa gente y pónganse aparte, dice el Señor. No toquen nada impuro, y yo los recibiré.	17 Get away from them, purify yourselves, says the Lord. Do not touch anything unclean, and then I shallwelcome you.
18 Y seré para ustedes un Padre, y ustedes serán mis hijos y mis hijas, dice el Señor todopoderoso.	18 I shal be father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the almighty Lord.
