Isaías 6

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 El año de la muerte del rey Ozías, yo vi al Señor sentado en un trono elevado y excelso, y las orlas de su manto llenaban el Templo.	1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.
2 Unos serafines estaban de pie por encima de él. Cada uno tenía seis alas: con dos se cubrían el rostro, y con dos se cubrían los pies, y con dos volaban.	2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;
3 Y uno gritaba hacia el otro: «¡Santo santo, santo es el Señor de los ejércitos! Toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.	3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.
4 Los fundamentos de los umbrales temblaron al clamor de su voz, y la Casa se llenó de humo.	4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.
5 Yo dije: «¡Ay de mí, estoy perdido! Porque soy un hombre de labios impuros, y habito en medio de un pueblo de labios impuros; ¡y mis ojos han visto al Rey, el Señor de los ejércitos!».	5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'
6 Uno de los serafines voló hacia mí, llevando en su mano una brasa que había tomado con unas tenazas de encima del altar.	6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.
7 El le hizo tocar mi boca, y dijo: «Mira: esto ha tocado tus labios; tu culpa ha sido borrada y tu pecado ha sido expiado».	7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'
8 Yo oí la voz del Señor que decía: «¿A quién enviaré y quién irá por nosotros?». Yo respondí: «¡Aquí estoy: envíame!».	8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'
9 «Ve, me dijo; tú dirás a este pueblo: "Escuchen, sí, pero sin entender: miren bien, pero sin comprender".	9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"
10 Embota el corazón de este pueblo. endurece sus oídos y cierra sus ojos, no sea que vea con sus ojos y oiga con sus oídos, que su corazón comprenda y que se convierta y sane».	10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'
11 Yo dije: «¿Hasta cuándo, Señor?». El respondió: «Hasta que las ciudades queden devastadas, sin habitantes, hasta que las casas estén sin un hombre y el suelo devastado sea una desolación.	11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,
12 El Señor alejará a los hombres y será grande el abandono en medio del país.	12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.
13 Y si queda una décima parte, ella, a su vez, será destruida. Como el terebinto y la encina que, al ser abatidos, conservan su tronco talado, así ese tronco es una semilla santa».	13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'
