EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Del maestro de coro. Canto. Salmo. ¡Aclame a Dios toda la tierra!	1 Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,
2 ¡Canten la gloria de su Nombre! Tribútenle una alabanza gloriosa,	2 sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.
3 digan a Dios: «¡Qué admirables son tus obras!». Por la inmensidad de tu poder, tus enemigos te rinden pleitesía;	3 Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.
4 toda la tierra se postra ante ti, y canta en tu honor, en honor de tu Nombre.	4 Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.
5 Vengan a ver las obras de Dios, las cosas admirables que hizo por los hombres:	5 Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.
6 él convirtió el Mar en tierra firme, a pie atravesaron el Río. Por eso, alegrémonos en él,	6 Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.
7 que gobierna eternamente con su fuerza; sus ojos vigilan a las naciones, y los rebeldes no pueden sublevarse.	7 Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.
8 Bendigan, pueblos, a nuestro Dios, hagan oír bien alto su alabanza:	8 O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.
9 él nos concedió la vida y no dejó que vacilaran nuestros pies.	9 Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:
10 Porque tú nos probaste, oh Dios, nos purificaste como se purifica la plata;	10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.
11 nos hiciste caer en una red, cargaste un fardo sobre nuestras espaldas.	11 Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:
12 Dejaste que cabalgaran sobre nuestras cabezas, pasamos por el fuego y por el agua, ¡hasta que al fin nos diste un respiro!	12 thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.
13 Yo vengo a tu Casa a ofrecerte holocaustos, para cumplir los votos que te hice:	13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 los votos que pronunciaron mis labios y que mi boca prometió en el peligro.	14 which my lips have uttered, And my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 Te ofreceré en holocausto animales cebados, junto con el humo de los carneros; te sacrificaré bueyes y cabras.	15 I will offer up to thee holocausts full of marrow, with burnt offerings of rams: I will offer to thee bullocks with goats.
16 Los que temen a Dios, vengan a escuchar, yo les contaré lo que hizo por mí:	16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what great things he hath done for my soul.
17 apenas mi boca clamó hacia él, mi lengua comenzó a alabarlo.	17 I cried to him with my mouth: and I extolled him with my tongue.
18 Si hubiera tenido malas intenciones, el Señor no me habría escuchado;	18 If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
19 pero Dios me escuchó y atendió al clamor de mi plegaria.	19 Therefore hath God heard me, and hath attended to the voice of my supplication.
20 Bendito sea Dios, que no rechazó mi oración ni apartó de mí su misericordia.	20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
