EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Del maestro de coro. «No destruyas». De David. Mictán.	1 Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title.
2 ¿Acaso ustedes, los poderosos, pronuncian realmente sentencias justas y gobiernan a los hombres con rectitud?	2 If in very deed you speak justice: judge right things, ye sons of men.
3 ¡No! Ustedes cometen injusticias a plena conciencia y favorecen la opresión en la tierra.	3 For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth.
4 Los impíos están extraviados desde el seno materno; desde su nacimiento se descarriaron los impostores.	4 The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.
5 Tienen un veneno semejante al de las víboras; son como una serpiente sorda, que cierra los oídos,	5 Their madness is according to the likeness of a serpent: like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ears:
6 para no oír la voz del encantador, la voz del mago que ejerce su arte con destreza.	6 Which will not hear the voice of the charmers; nor of the wizard that charmeth wisely.
7 Rómpeles, Dios mío, los dientes en la boca; arráncales, Señor, esos colmillos de leones.	7 God shall break in pieces their teeth in their mouth: the Lord shall break the grinders of the lions.
8 Que se diluyan como agua que se evapora; que se marchiten como hierba pisoteada.	8 They shall come to nothing, like water running down; he hath bent his bow till they be weakened.
9 Sean como una babosa que se deshace al pasar, como un aborto de mujer que no llegó a ver el sol.	9 Like wax that melteth they shall be taken away: fire hath fallen on them, and they shall not see the sun.
10 Que los arrastre el vendaval –verdes o quemados– antes que produzcan espinas como una zarza.	10 Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath.
11 El justo se alegrará al contemplar la Venganza y lavará sus pies en la sangre de los impíos.	11 The just shall rejoice when he shall see the revenge: he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner.
12 Entonces dirán los hombres: «Sí, el justo recibe su recompensa; sí, hay un Dios que hace justicia en la tierra».	12 And man shall say: If indeed there be fruit to the just: there is indeed a God that judgeth them on the earth.
