EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Del maestro de coro. De David. Salmo.	1 [For the choirmaster Of David Psalm] I waited, I waited for Yahweh, then he stooped to me and heardmy cry for help.
2 Esperé confiadamente en el Señor: él se inclinó hacia mí y escuchó mi clamor.	2 He pul ed me up from the seething chasm, from the mud of the mire. He set my feet on rock, andmade my footsteps firm.
3 Me sacó de la fosa infernal, del barro cenagoso; afianzó mis pies sobre la roca y afirmó mis pasos.	3 He put a fresh song in my mouth, praise of our God. Many wil be awestruck at the sight, and will puttheir trust in Yahweh.
4 Puso en mi boca un canto nuevo, un himno a nuestro Dios. Muchos, al ver esto, temerán y confiarán en el Señor.	4 How blessed are those who put their trust in Yahweh, who have not sided with rebels and those whohave gone astray in falsehood.
5 ¡Feliz el que pone en el Señor toda su confianza, y no se vuelve hacia los rebeldes que se extravían tras la mentira!	5 How much you have done, Yahweh, my God -- your wonders, your plans for us -- you have no equal. Iwil proclaim and speak of them; they are beyond number.
6 ¡Cuántas maravillas has realizado, Señor, Dios mío! Por tus designios en favor nuestro, nadie se te puede comparar. Quisiera anunciarlos y proclamarlos, pero son innumerables.	6 You wanted no sacrifice or cereal offering, but you gave me an open ear, you did not ask for burntoffering or sacrifice for sin;
7 Tú no quisiste víctima ni oblación; pero me diste un oído atento; no pediste holocaustos ni sacrificios,	7 then I said, 'Here I am, I am coming.' In the scrol of the book it is written of me,
8 entonces dije: «Aquí estoy.	8 my delight is to do your will; your law, my God, is deep in my heart.
9 En el libro de la Ley está escrito lo que tengo que hacer: yo amo. Dios mío, tu voluntad, y tu ley está en mi corazón».	9 I proclaimed the saving justice of Yahweh in the great assembly. See, I will not hold my tongue, as youwel know.
10 Proclamé gozosamente tu justicia en la gran asamblea; no, no mantuve cerrados mis labios, tú lo sabes, Señor.	10 I have not kept your saving justice locked in the depths of my heart, but have spoken of yourconstancy and saving help. I have made no secret of your faithful and steadfast love, in the great assembly.
11 No escondí tu justicia dentro de mí, proclamé tu fidelidad y tu salvación, y no oculté a la gran asamblea tu amor y tu fidelidad.	11 You, Yahweh, have not withheld your tenderness from me; your faithful and steadfast love will alwaysguard me.
12 Y tú, Señor, no te niegues a tener compasión de mí; que tu amor y tu fidelidad me protejan sin cesar.	12 For troubles surround me, until they are beyond number; my sins have overtaken me; I cannot seemy way. They outnumber the hairs of my head, and my heart fails me.
13 Porque estoy rodeado de tantos males, que es imposible contarlos. Las culpas me tienen atrapado y ya no alcanzo a ver: son más que los cabellos de mi cabeza, y me faltan las fuerzas.	13 Be pleased, Yahweh, to rescue me, Yahweh, come quickly and help me!
14 Líbrame, Señor, por favor; Señor, ven pronto a socorrerme.	14 Shame and dismay to al who seek to take my life. Back with them, let them be humiliated whodelight in my misfortunes.
15 Que se avergüencen y sean humillados los que quieren acabar con mi vida. Que retrocedan confundidos los que desean mi ruina;	15 Let them be aghast with shame, those who say to me, 'Aha, aha!'
16 queden pasmados de vergüenza los que se ríen de mí.	16 But joy and happiness in you to all who seek you! Let them ceaselessly cry, 'Great is Yahweh' wholove your saving power.
17 Que se alegren y se regocijen en ti todos los que te buscan y digan siempre los que desean tu victoria; «¡Qué grande es el Señor!»	17 Poor and needy as I am, the Lord has me in mind. You, my helper, my Saviour, my God, do notdelay.
18 Yo soy pobre y miserable, pero el Señor piensa en mí; tú eres mi ayuda y mi libertador, ¡no tardes, Dios mío!
