Salmos 32

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. Poema. ¡Feliz el que ha sido absuelto de su pecado y liberado de su falta!	1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.
2 ¡Feliz el hombre a quien el Señor no le tiene en cuenta las culpas, y en cuyo espíritu no hay doblez!	2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.
3 Mientras me quedé callado, mis huesos se consumían entre continuos lamentos,	3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;
4 porque de día y de noche tu mano pesaba sobre mí; mi savia se secaba por los ardores del verano.	4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause
5 Pero yo reconocí mi pecado, no te escondí mi culpa, pensando: «Confesaré mis faltas al Señor». ¡Y tú perdonaste mi culpa y mi pecado!	5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause
6 Por eso, que todos tus fieles te supliquen en el momento de la angustia; y cuando irrumpan las aguas caudalosas no llegarán hasta ellos.	6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.
7 Tú eres mi refugio, tú me libras de los peligros y me colmas con la alegría de la salvación.	7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause
8 Yo te instruiré, te enseñaré el camino que debes seguir; con los ojos puestos en ti, seré tu consejero.	8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.
9 No sean irracionales como el caballo y la mula, cuyo brío hay que contener con el bozal y el freno para poder acercarse.	9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.
10 ¡Cuántos son los tormentos del malvado! Pero el Señor cubrirá con su amor al que confía en él.	10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.
11 ¡Alégrense en el Señor, regocíjense los justos! ¡Canten jubilosos los rectos de corazón!	11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.
