1 Por lo que se refiere al número de los hijos de Israel: Los cabezas de casas paternas, los jefes de millar y de cien y sus escribas atendían al servicio de todo el que acudiera. Las secciones intervenían en todo asunto del rey relevándose todos los meses del año. Cada sección tenía 24.000 hombres.	1 This is the list of the Israelite family heads, commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and other officers who served the king in all that pertained to the divisions, of twenty-four thousand men each, that came and went month by month throughout the year.
2 Al frente de la primera sección, que era la del primer mes, estaba Yasobam, hijo de Zabdiel; en su sección había 24.000 hombres.	2 Over the first division for the first month was Ishbaal, son of Zabdiel, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men;
3 Pertenecía a los hijos de Peres y era jefe de todos los comandantes del ejército del primer mes.	3 a descendant of Perez, he was chief over all the commanders of the army for the first month.
4 Al frente de la sección del segundo mes estaba Doday, el ajojita, su sección tenía 24.000 hombres.	4 Over the division of the second month was Eleazar, son of Dodo, from Ahoh, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
5 Jefe del tercer ejército, para el tercer mes, era Benaías, hijo del sacerdote Yehoyadá; en su sección había 24.000 hombres.	5 The third army commander, chief for the third month, was Benaiah, son of Jehoiada the priest, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
6 Este Benaías era uno de los Treinta valientes y hallábase al frente de ellos; en su sección estaba su hijo Ammizabad.	6 This Benaiah was a warrior among the Thirty and over the Thirty. His son Ammizabad was over his division.

10 El séptimo, para el séptimo mes, era Jeles el pelonita, de los benjaminitas; su sección constaba de 24.000 hombres.	10 Seventh, for the seventh month, was Hellez, from Beth-phelet, of the sons of Ephraim, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
11 El octavo, para el octavo mes, era Sibbekay, de Jusá, el zarejita; su sección constaba de 24.000 hombres.	11 Eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, a descendant of Zerah, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
12 El noveno, para el noveno mes, era Abiézer, de Anatot de los benjaminitas; en su sección había 24.000 hombres.	12 Ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer from Anathoth, of Benjamin, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
13 El décimo, para el décimo mes, era Mahray, de Neftofá, zarejita; su sección constaba de 24.000 hombres.	13 Tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai from Netophah, a descendant of Zerah, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.
14 El undécimo, para el mes undécimo, era Benaías, de Piratón, de los efraimitas; su sección tenía 24.000 hombres.	14 Eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of Ephraim, and in his division were twenty-four thousand men.

17 De los levitas: Jasabías, hijo de Quemuel. De Aarón: Sadoq.	17 for Levi, Hashabiah, son of Kemuel; for Aaron, Zadok;
18 De Judá: Elihú, uno de los hermanos de David. De Isacar: Omrí, hijo de Miguel.	18 for Judah, Eliab, one of David's brothers; for Issachar, Omri, son of Michael;
19 De Zabulón: Yismaías, hijo de Abdías. De Neftalí: Yerimot, hijo de Azriel.	19 for Zebulun, Ishmaiah, son of Obadiah; for Naphtali, Jeremoth, son of Azriel;

23 David no hizo el censo de los que tenían menos de veinte años, porque Yahveh había dicho que multiplicaría a Israel como las estrellas del cielo.	23 David did not count those who were twenty years of age or younger, for the LORD had promised to multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.
24 Joab, hijo de Sarvia, comenzó a hacer el censo, pero no lo acabó; pues con ese motivo la Cólera descargó sobre Israel, por eso su número no alcanza el número de los Anales del rey David.	24 Joab, son of Zeruiah, began to take the census, but he did not complete it, for because of it wrath fell upon Israel. Therefore the number did not enter into the book of chronicles of King David.
25 Azmávet, hijo de Adiel, tenía a su cargo los depósitos reales. Sobre los depósitos del campo, de las ciudades, de las aldeas, y de las torres, estaba Jonatán, hijo de Uzzías;	25 Over the treasures of the king was Azmaveth, the son of Adiel. Over the stores in the country, the cities, the villages, and the towers was Jonathan, son of Uzziah.
26 sobre los labradores del campo que cultivaban las tierras, Ezrí, hijo de Kelub;	26 Over the farm workers who tilled the soil was Ezri, son of Chelub.
27 sobre las viñas, Simí, de Ramá; sobre las provisiones de vino de las bodegas, Zabdí, de Sefán;	27 Over the vineyards was Shimei from Ramah, and over their produce for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite.
28 sobre los olivares y los sicómoros que había en la Tierra Baja, Báal Janán, de Guéder; sobre los almacenes de aceite, Joás;	28 Over the olive trees and sycamores of the foothills was Baalhanan the Gederite, and over the stores of oil was Joash.
29 sobre las vacadas que pacían en Sarón, Sitray el saronita; sobre las vacadas de los valles, Safat, hijo de Adlay;	29 Over the cattle that grazed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite, and over the cattle in the valleys was Shaphat, the son of Adlai;
30 sobre los camellos, Obil el ismaelita; sobre las asnas, Jejdeías, de Meronot;	30 over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; over the she-asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite;
31 sobre las ovejas, Yaziz el hagarita. Todos estos eran intendentes de la hacienda del rey David.	31 and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite. All these were the overseers of King David's possessions.
32 Jonatán, tío de David, hombre prudente e instruido, era consejero; él y Yejiel, hijo de Yakmoní, cuidaban de los hijos del rey.	32 Jonathan, David's uncle and a man of intelligence, was counselor and scribe; he and Jehiel, the son of Hachmoni, were tutors of the king's sons.
33 Ajitófel era consejero del rey, y Jusay el arquita era amigo del rey.	33 Ahithophel was also the king's counselor, and Hushai the Archite was the king's confidant.
34 Después de Ajitófel, lo fueron Yehoyadá, hijo de Benaías, y Abiatar. Joab era el jefe del ejército del rey.	34 After Ahithophel came Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. The commander of the king's army was Joab.
