Prima Epistola di Santo Paulo alli Tessalonicesi 1

1 Paulo e Silvano e Timoteo alla Chiesa di Tessalonica (vi mandano la grazia e la pace) in Dio Padre (nostro) e nel Signore Iesù Cristo.	1 Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the Church in Thessalonica which is in God the Father and the LordJesus Christ. Grace to you and peace.
2 (Fratelli) sempre dovemo rendere grazie a Dio [per tutti voi], facendo di voi memoria nelle nostre orazioni senza intermissione.	2 We always thank God for you al , mentioning you in our prayers continually.
3 Ricordatevi dell' opera della vostra fede, e (ricordatevi ancora) della fatica e della carità e della sofferenza della speranza del Signore nostro Iesù Cristo, davanti a Dio padre nostro.	3 We remember before our God and Father how active is the faith, how unsparing the love, howpersevering the hope which you have from our Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Sappiate, fratelli dilettissimi di Dio, il vostro chiamamento.	4 We know, brothers loved by God, that you have been chosen,
5 Chè la mia predicazione, ch' io feci a voi, non solamente fu con parola, ma fu con virtù e con Spirito Santo e con molta plenitudine (di grazia), sì come voi sapete chenti noi siamo [stati] intra voi per voi.	5 because our gospel came to you not only in words, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and withgreat effect. And you observed the sort of life we lived when we were with you, which was for your sake.
6 E voi siete fatti nostri seguitatori, e (andate per la nostra via e per quella) del Signore, ricevendo la parola di Dio con tribulazione, e con molto gaudio di Spirito Santo;	6 You took us and the Lord as your model, welcoming the word with the joy of the Holy Spirit in spite ofgreat hardship.
7 sì che siete fatti forma (ed esempio) a tutti coloro che credono in Macedonia e in Acaia.	7 And so you became an example to al believers in Macedonia and Achaia
8 Chè poi per voi è palesata e onorata la parola di Dio (e la fede), non solamente in Macedonia e in Acaia, ma eziandio è nominata in ogni luogo la vostra fede perfetta, sì che non è bisogno a dire a voi alcuna cosa.	8 since it was from you that the word of the Lord rang out -- and not only throughout Macedonia andAchaia, for your faith in God has spread everywhere. We do not need to tel other people about it:
9 Che le genti medesime dicono, chente cominciamento noi avemmo a voi (convertire), e come Voi siete convertiti a Dio partendovi dall' idoli, e come servite a Dio vivo e vero,	9 other people tel us how we started the work among you, how you broke with the worship of false godswhen you were converted to God and became servants of the living and true God;
10 e come voi aspettate il suo Figliuolo da' cieli, il quale Figliuolo Iddio padre resuscitò da morte; il quale Iesù campò noi dall' ira che dee venire.	10 and how you are now waiting for Jesus, his Son, whom he raised from the dead, to come fromheaven. It is he who saves us from the Retribution which is coming.
