BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Salmo di David, quando mutò il suo volto dinanzi Achimelec, il qual lasciollo, e partissi.	1 Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes wel from the honest.
2 In ogni tempo benedicerò il Signore; sempre sarà nella mia bocca la sua laude.	2 Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Nel Signore sarà laudata l'anima mia; odano i mansueti, e rallegrinsi.	3 Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.
4 Magnificate il Signore meco; ed esaltiamo il. suo nome in uno.	4 The word of Yahweh is straightforward, al he does springs from his constancy.
5 Ho richiesto il Signore, e hammi esaudito, e liberato di tutte le mie tribulazioni.	5 He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fil s the earth.
6 Andate a lui, e illuminatevi; e le vostre faccie non siano confuse.	6 By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.
7 Questo povero gridò, ed esaudillo il Signore; e salvollo di tutte le sue tribulazioni.	7 He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.
8 L'angelo del Signore è dintorno a quelli che il temono; e libereralli.	8 Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let al who dwel in the world revere him;
9 Gustate, e vedete, però che il Signore è soave; beato l'uomo che in lui spera!	9 for, the moment he spoke, it was so, no sooner had he commanded, than there it stood!
10 Temete il Signore, voi tutti suoi santi; per che a quelli che il temono non è miseria.	10 Yahweh thwarts the plans of nations, frustrates the counsels of peoples;
11 Li ricchi sono stati bisognosi e affamati; ma alli cercanti il Signore non si sminuirà ogni bene.	11 but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.
12 Venite, figliuoli, uditemi; insegnerovvi il timore del Signore.	12 How blessed the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.
13 È alcuno uomo, che vuole la vita, ama vedere i buoni dì?	13 From heaven Yahweh looks down, he sees al the children of Adam,
14 Vieta la tua lingua dal male, e le tue labbra perchè non parlino inganno.	14 from the place where he sits he watches al who dwel on the earth;
15 Ritraiti dal male, e fa bene; cerca la pace, e sèguita quella.	15 he alone moulds their hearts, he understands al they do.
16 Gli occhi del Signore stanno sopra i giusti; e le sue orecchie a loro preghiere.	16 A large army wil not keep a king safe, nor his strength save a warrior's life;
17 Ma il volto del Signore è sopra i malfacenti, per perdere loro memoria dalla terra.	17 it is delusion to rely on a horse for safety, for all its power it cannot save.
18 Gridorono i giusti, e il Signore li esauditte; e liberolli dalle loro tribulazioni.	18 But see how Yahweh watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his faithful love,
19 Appresso è il Signore a quelli che sono col tribulato cuore; e li umili di spirito salvarà.	19 to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 Molte sono le tribulazioni de' giusti; e da tutte queste libereralli il Signore.	20 We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,
21 Il Signore guarda tutte loro ossa; una di quelle non si romperà.	21 for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.
22 Pessima è la morte de' peccatori; e quelli che hanno avuto in odio il giusto, peccheranno.	22 Yahweh, let your faithful love rest on us, as our hope has rested in you.
23 Ricomprerà il Signore l' animé de' servi suoi; e non abbandonerà coloro che in lui sperano.
