BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
2 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: quando sarete entrati nella terra di Canaan ne avrete per mezzo della sorte preso possesso, essa sarà, limitata da questi confini.	2 'Give the Israelites this order. Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries:
3 La parte del mezzogiorno comincerà dal deserto di Sin, vicino a Edom, e avrà per confini ad oriente il mar di Sale,	3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea.
4 poi girando al mezzodì della salita dello Scorpione, passerà per Senna e si estenderà al mezzogiorno, fino a Cadesbarne, poi continuerà fino al villaggio d'Adar, estendendosi fino ad Asemona,	4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. It wil then run towards Hazar-Addar and pass through Azmon.
5 per girare da Asemona fino al torrente d'Egitto e finire al lido del mare grande.	5 From Azmon the boundary wil turn towards the Torrent of Egypt and end at the Sea.
6 La parte occidentale comincerà al Mar grande e finirà allo stesso mare.	6 "Your seaboard wil be on the Great Sea; this will be your western boundary.
7 A settentrione i confini cominceranno dal Mar grande e arriveranno fino al monte Altissimo,	7 "Your northern boundary wil be as fol ows: you wil draw a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor,
8 poi andranno verso Ernat fino ai confini di Sedada,	8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad.
9 e si stenderanno fino a Zefrona e al villaggio di Enan. Questi saranno i confini dalla parte di settentrione.	9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary.
10 I confini orientali saran tracciati dal villaggio di Enan fino a Sefama.	10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham.
11 Da Sefama scenderanno a Rebla, di faccia alla fontana di Dafnim, poi si stenderanno ad oriente, fino al mare di Ceneret	11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.
12 giungeranno al Giordano e finalmente saran chiusi dal mare di Sale. Tale sarà il vostro territorio coi suoi confini d'ogni parte ».	12 The frontier wil then fol ow the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. "Such wil be your country with theboundaries surrounding it." '
13 E Mose, trasmesso ai Figli d'Israele l'ordine, aggiunse: « Questa sarà la terra, di cui prenderei e possesso a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato si dia alle nove tribù e mezza,	13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe,
14 giacchè la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo le sue famiglie, la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo il numero delle sue parentele, e la metà della tribù di Manasse,	14 for the tribe of the Reubenites with their families and the tribe of the Gadites with their families havealready received their heritage; the half-tribe of Manasseh has also received its heritage.
15 cioè due tribù e mezza, han già ricevuta la loro parte al di là del Giordano, dirimpetto a Gerico, dal lato d'oriente ».	15 These two tribes and the half-tribe have received their heritage on the other side of the Jordan byJericho, to the east, towards the sunrise.'
16 E il Signore disse a Mosè:	16 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
17 « Ecco i nomi di coloro che vi divideranno la terra: Eleazaro sacerdote, Giosuè figlio di Nun,	17 'Here are the names of the men who wil divide the country up for you: the priest Eleazar andJoshua son of Nun,
18 e un principe di ciascuna tribù,	18 and you wil take one leader from each tribe to divide the country up into heritages.
19 i nomi dei quali sono i seguenti: della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figlio di Iefone;	19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
20 della tribù di Simeone, Samuele figlio di Ammiud;	20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;
21 della tribù di Beniamino, Elidad figlio di Caselon;	21 'for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;
22 della tribù dei figli di Dan, Bocci figlio di Iogli;	22 'for the tribe of the Danites, the leader Bukki son of Jogli;
23 dei figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù di Manasse, Hanniel figlio di Efod;	23 'for the sons of Joseph: for the tribe of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod;
24 per la tribù di Efraim, Camuel figlio di Seftan;	24 'for the tribe of the Ephraimites, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan;
25 della tribù di Zàbulon, Elisafan figlio di Farnac;	25 'for the tribe of the Zebulunites, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach;
26 della tribù di Issacar, il principe Faltiel figlio di Ozan;	26 'for the tribe of the Issacharites, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan;
27 della tribù di Aser, Ahiud figlio di Salomi;	27 'for the tribe of the Asherites, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi;
28 della tribù di Nettali, Fedael figlio di Ammiud ».	28 'for the tribe of the Naphtalites, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.'
29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore comandò di fare la divisione della terra di Canaan tra i figli d'Israele.	29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites.
