29 Tutti quelli che potevano capire promettevano pei loro fratelli, e i principali tra loro andavano a promettere e giurare di camminare nella legge di Dio, da lui data per mezzo di Mosè servo di Dio, di adempire e osservare tutti i comandamenti del Signore Dio nostro, i suoi precetti e le sue cerimonie,	29 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slavesand all those who had severed relations with the people of the country to adhere to the law of God, as also theirwives, their sons, their daughters, that is, al those who had reached the age of discretion,
30 di non dare le nostre figlie al popolo della terra e di non prendere le loro figlie pei nostri figli.	30 have joined their esteemed brothers in a solemn oath to follow the law of God given through Moses,servant of God, and to observe and practise all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, with his rules and hisstatutes.
31 Inoltre, dato che i popoli della terra venissero a portar roba da vendere e qualsiasi mercanzia in giorno di sabato, di non comprarne da essi nel sabato e in altro giorno sacro; di lasciare in pace il settimo anno, e di non esigere l'esazione da alcuno.	31 We will not give our daughters in marriage to the peoples of the country, nor allow their daughters tomarry our sons.
32 C'imporremo per legge di dare ogni anno la terza parte di un siclo per il servizio della casa del nostro Dio,	32 If the people of the country bring goods or foodstuff of any kind to sel on the Sabbath day, we wilbuy nothing from them on Sabbath or holy day. In the seventh year, we wil forgo the produce of the soil and theexaction of al debts.
33 per i pani di proposizione, per il sacrifizio perpetuo, per l'olocausto perpetuo nei sabati, nelle cose santificate e per il peccato, per rendere Dio placato verso Israele e per tutto il servizio della casa del nostro Dio.	33 We recognise the fol owing obligations: to give one-third of a shekel yearly for the service of theTemple of our God:
34 Poi tirammo le sorti fra i sacerdoti, i leviti e il popolo per l'offerta della legna da esser portate nella casa del nostro Dio da ciascuna famiglia dei nostri padri, in dati tempi, anno per anno, per mantenere il fuoco sull'altare del Signore Dio nostro, come sta scritto nella legge di Mose.	34 for the loaves of permanent offering, for the perpetual oblation, for the perpetual burnt offering, forthe sacrifices on Sabbaths, on New Moons and on festivals, for the consecrated gifts, the sin offerings to expiatefor Israel, in short, for the whole work of the Temple of our God;
35 E promettemmo di portare ogni anno nella casa del nostro Dio le primizie della nostra terra, e le primizie di tutti i frutti d'ogni pianta,	35 Furthermore, as regards deliveries of wood for burning on the altar of our God as the law prescribes,we have arranged, by drawing lots, how these deliveries are to be made at the Temple of our God by the priests,the Levites and the people by families, at stated times every year.We wil no longer neglect the Temple of ourGod.
36 e i primogeniti dei nostri figli e del nostro bestiame, come sta scritto nella legge, e i primogeniti dei nostri buoi e delle nostre pecore, da presentarsi nella casa del nostro Dio ai sacerdoti di servizio nella casa del nostro Dio;	36 and further, to bring yearly to the Temple of our God the first-fruits of our soil and the first-fruits of alour orchards,
37 e le primizie dei nostri cibi, delle nostre libazioni, e i frutti di tutte le piante e delle vigne e degli uliveti noi li porteremo ai sacerdoti pel tesoro del nostro Dio, dando ai leviti la decima della nostra terra, la decima delle nostre fatiche che essi stessi riceveranno in tutte le città.	37 also the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as the law prescribes, the first-born of our herds andflocks should be taken to the Temple of our God for the priests officiating in the Temple of our God.
38 Il sacerdote figlio di Aronne assisterà coi leviti alle decime dei leviti; e i leviti offriranno la decima, della loro decima nella casa, del nostro Dio, nel gazofìlacio, nella casa del tesoro.	38 Furthermore, we shall bring the best of our dough, of every kind of fruit, of the new wine and of the oilto the priests, to the storerooms of the Temple of our God, and the tithe on our soil to the Levites -- the Leviteswil themselves col ect the tithes from all the towns of our religion.
39 Nel gazofilacio i figli d'Israele e i figli di Levi porteranno le primizie del grano, del vino, dell'olio, ivi saranno i vasi santificati, i sacerdoti, i cantori, i portinai, i ministri. Noi non abbandoneremo la casa del nostro Dio.	39 An Aaronite priest wil accompany the Levites when they collect the tithes, and the Levites wil bringa tenth part
	40 a,b of the tithes to the Temple of our God, into the treasury storerooms; for these rooms are wherethe Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of corn, wine and oil, and where the vessels of thesanctuary are, and the officiating priests, the gatekeepers and the singers.
