Oséias 6

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Vinde, voltemos ao Senhor, ele feriu-nos, ele nos curará; ele causou a ferida, ele a pensará.	1 Come, let us return to Yahweh. He has rent us and he wil heal us; he has struck us and he will bind upour wounds;
2 Dar-nos-á de novo a vida em dois dias; ao terceiro dia levantar-nos-á, e viveremos em sua presença.	2 after two days he wil revive us, on the third day he wil raise us up and we shal live in his presence.
3 Apliquemo-nos a conhecer o Senhor; sua vinda é certa como a da aurora; ele virá a nós como a chuva, como a chuva da primavera que irriga a terra.	3 Let us know, let us strive to know Yahweh; that he will come is as certain as the dawn. He wil come tous like a shower, like the rain of springtime to the earth.
4 Que te farei, Efraim? Que te farei, Judá? Vosso amor é como a nuvem da manhã, como o orvalho que logo se dissipa.	4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? For your love is like morningmist, like the dew that quickly disappears.
5 Por isso é que os castiguei pelos profetas, e os matei pelas palavras de minha boca, e meu juízo resplandece como o relâmpago,	5 This is why I have hacked them to pieces by means of the prophets, why I have kil ed them with wordsfrom my mouth, why my sentence wil blaze forth like the dawn-
6 porque eu quero o amor mais que os sacrifícios, e o conhecimento de Deus mais que os holocaustos.	6 for faithful love is what pleases me, not sacrifice; knowledge of God, not burnt offerings.
7 Mas eles violaram vergonhosamente a aliança e traíram-me.	7 But they have broken the covenant at Adam, there they have betrayed me.
8 Galaad é uma cidade de malfeitores, cheia de traços de sangue;	8 Gilead is a city of evil-doers, ful of bloody footprints.
9 os bandidos são a força dela, uma quadrilha de sacerdotes; assassinam no caminho de Siquém, porque seu proceder é criminoso.	9 Like so many robbers in ambush, a gang of priests commits murder on the road to Shechem- whatinfamous behaviour!
10 Vi horrores na casa de Israel: ali cresce a prostituição de Efraim, ali se mancha Israel.	10 At Bethel I have seen a horrible thing; there Ephraim plays the whore, Israel is befouled.
11 Apesar de tudo, Judá há de ter boa colheita, quando eu restaurar o meu povo, quando eu curar Israel.	11 For you too, Judah, a harvest is in store, when I restore my people's fortunes.
