Levitico 12

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
2 Se una donna è stata fecondata e partorisce un maschio, è impura per sette giorni, come al tempo delle sue regole.	2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a boy, she wil beunclean for seven days as when in a state of pol ution due to menstruation.
3 L'ottavo giorno si circoncida la carne del membro del bambino;	3 On the eighth day the child's foreskin must be circumcised,

She wil not touch anythingconsecrated nor go to the sanctuary until the time of her purification is over.
5 Se ha partorito una femmina, è impura per due settimane, come nel tempo delle sue regole, e per sessantasei giorni resterà a purificarsi dal sangue.	5 "If she gives birth to a girl, she wil be unclean for two weeks, as during her monthly periods; and willwait another sixty-six days for her blood to be purified.

"Such is the law concerning a woman who gives birth to either a boy or a girl.

The priest will perform the rite of expiation for her and she wil bepurified." '
