LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Alleluia. Sì, è bello inneggiare al nostro Dio; è dolce innalzare a lui la lode.	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.
2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme, raduna i dispersi d'Israele.	2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,
3 Egli risana i contriti di cuore e fascia le loro ferite.	3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;
4 Egli conta il numero delle stelle, tutte le chiama per nome.	4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.
5 Grande è il nostro Dio, immensa la sua potenza, incalcolabile la sua sapienza.	5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.
6 Il Signore sostiene gli umili, ma abbassa fino a terra gli empi.	6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.
7 Cantate al Signore con azione di grazie, con la cetra inneggiate al nostro Dio.	7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.
8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi, prepara la pioggia per la terra, fa germogliare i monti con erba.	8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,
9 Dà al bestiame il cibo, ai piccoli del corvo che gridano a lui.	9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.
10 Non tiene conto del vigore del cavallo, né si compiace delle gambe dell'uomo.	10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;
11 Egli si compiace di quanti lo temono, di quanti sperano nella sua misericordia.	11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.
12 Glorifica il Signore, Gerusalemme, loda il tuo Dio, o Sion;	12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.
13 poiché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte, in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.	13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,
14 Egli rende sicuri i tuoi confini, ti sazia con fior di frumento.	14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.
15 Invia sulla terra il suo comando, corre veloce la sua parola:	15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,
16 dà la neve, simile a lana, sparge la brina, simile a cenere;	16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,
17 egli getta la sua grandine, simile a briciole; dal suo gelo si formano le acque.	17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?
18 Manda la sua parola e le dissolve, fa soffiare il suo alito e scorrono le acque.	18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.
19 Annunzia la sua parola a Giacobbe, i suoi decreti e i suoi giudizi a Israele.	19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.
20 Non ha fatto questo con nessun'altra nazione, non ha fatto conoscere a loro i suoi giudizi. Alleluia.	20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.
