Revelation 16

1 And I heard a great voice from the temple, saying to the seven Angels: “Go forth and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God upon the earth.”	1 Et j'entendis une voix qui, du temple, criait aux sept Anges: "Allez, répandez sur la terre lessept coupes de la colère de Dieu."
2 And the first Angel went forth and poured out his bowl upon the earth. And a severe and most grievous wound occurred upon the men who had the character of the beast, and upon those who adored the beast or its image.	2 Et le premier s'en alla répandre sa coupe sur la terre; alors, ce fut un ulcère mauvais etpernicieux sur les gens qui portaient la marque de la Bête et se prosternaient devant son image.
3 And the second Angel poured out his bowl upon the sea. And it became like the blood of the dead, and every living creature in the sea died.	3 Et le deuxième répandit sa coupe dans la mer; alors, ce fut du sang - on aurait dit un meurtre! -et tout être vivant mourut dans la mer.
4 And the third Angel poured out his bowl upon the rivers and the sources of water, and these became blood.	4 Et le troisième répandit sa coupe dans les fleuves et les sources; alors, ce fut du sang.
5 And I heard the Angel of the waters saying: “You are just, O Lord, who is and who was: the Holy One who has judged these things.	5 Et j'entendis l'Ange des eaux qui disait: "Tu es juste, Il est et Il était, le Saint, d'avoir ainsichâtié;
6 For they have shed the blood of the Saints and the Prophets, and so you have given them blood to drink. For they deserve this.”	6 c'est le sang des saints et des prophètes qu'ils ont versé, c'est donc du sang que tu leur as faitboire, ils le méritent!"
7 And from the altar, I heard another one, saying, “Even now, O Lord God Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”	7 Et j'entendis l'autel dire: "Oui, Seigneur, Dieu Maître-de-tout, tes châtiments sont vrais etjustes."
8 And the fourth Angel poured out his bowl upon the sun. And it was given to him to afflict men with heat and fire.	8 Et le quatrième répandit sa coupe sur le soleil; alors, il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes parle feu,
9 And men were scorched by the great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who holds power over these afflictions, but they did not repent, so as to give him glory.	9 et les hommes furent brûlés par une chaleur torride. Mais, loin de se repentir en rendant gloireà Dieu, ils blasphémèrent le nom du Dieu qui détenait en son pouvoir de tels fléaux.
10 And the fifth Angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast. And his kingdom became darkened, and they gnawed at their tongues out of anguish.	10 Et le cinquième répandit sa coupe sur le trône de la Bête, alors, son royaume devint ténèbres,et l'on se mordait la langue de douleur.
11 And they blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their anguish and wounds, but they did not repent from their works.	11 Mais, loin de se repentir de leurs agissements, les hommes blasphémèrent le Dieu du cielsous le coup des douleurs et des plaies.
12 And the sixth Angel poured out his bowl upon that great river Euphrates. And its water dried up, so that a way might be prepared for the kings from the rising of the sun.	12 Et le sixième répandit sa coupe sur le grand fleuve Euphrate; alors, ses eaux tarirent, livrantpassage aux rois de l'Orient.
13 And I saw, from the mouth of the dragon, and from the mouth of the beast, and from the mouth of the false prophetess, three unclean spirits go out in the manner of frogs.	13 Puis, de la gueule du Dragon, et de la gueule de la Bête, et de la gueule du faux prophète, jevis surgir trois esprits impurs, comme des grenouilles --
14 For these are the spirits of the demons that were causing the signs. And they advance to the kings of the entire earth, to gather them for battle on the great day of Almighty God.	14 et de fait, ce sont des esprits démoniaques, des faiseurs de prodiges, qui s'en vont rassemblerles rois du monde entier pour la guerre, pour le grand Jour du Dieu Maître-de-tout.
15 “Behold, I arrive like a thief. Blessed is he who is vigilant and who preserves his vestment, lest he walk naked and they see his disgrace.”	15 (Voici que je viens comme un voleur: heureux celui qui veille et garde ses vêtements pour nepas aller nu et laisser voir sa honte.)
16 And he shall gather them together at a place which is called, in Hebrew, Armageddon.	16 Ils les rassemblèrent au lieu dit, en hébreu, Harmagedôn.
17 And the seventh Angel poured out his bowl upon the air. And a great voice went out of the temple from the throne, saying: “It is done.”	17 Et le septième répandit sa coupe dans l'air; alors, partant du temple, une voix clama: "C'en estfait!"
18 And there were lightnings and voices and thunders. And a great earthquake occurred, of a kind such as has never happened since men have been upon the earth, so great was this kind of earthquake.	18 Et ce furent des éclairs et des voix et des tonnerres, avec un violent tremblement de terre;non, depuis qu'il y a des hommes sur la terre, jamais on n'avait vu pareil tremblement de terre, aussi violent!
19 And the Great City became divided into three parts. And the cities of the Gentiles fell. And Babylon the great came to mind before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the indignation of his wrath.	19 La Grande Cité se scinda en trois parties, et les cités des nations croulèrent; et Babylone laGrande, Dieu s'en souvint pour lui donner la coupe où bouillonne le vin de sa colère.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.	20 Alors, toute île prit la fuite, et les montagnes disparurent.
21 And hail as heavy as a talent descended from the sky upon men. And men blasphemed God, because of the affliction of the hail, for it was exceedingly great.	21 Et des grêlons énormes - près de 80 livres! - s'abattirent du ciel sur les hommes. Et leshommes blasphémèrent Dieu, à cause de cette grêle désastreuse; oui, elle est bien cause d'un effrayant désastre.
