Hosea 6

1 In their tribulation, they will arise early to me. Come, let us return to the Lord.	1 Egli si leveranno la mattina colla loro tribulazione per venire a me, (e diranno:) venite, e torniamo al nostro Iddio.
2 For he has seized us, and he will heal us. He will strike, and he will cure us.	2 Però ch' egli incominciò, e sanerà noi; e percuoterà noi, e farà la cura di noi.
3 He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live in his sight. We will understand, and we will continue on, so that we may know the Lord. His landing place has been prepared like the first light of morning, and he will come to us like the early and the late rains of the land.	3 Elli farà noi vivi dopo due dì; e resusciterà noi al terzo dì, e viveremo nel suo conspetto. E sapremo e seguiteremo (lui) acciò che noi cognosciamo lo Signore; l'uscimento [suo] è preparato come l'alba del die, e verrà a noi come lo vento acquaio, quando viene a tempo, e quando viene serotino alla terra.
4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? Your mercy is like the morning mist, and like the dew passing away in the morning.	4 Or che farò io a te, Efraim? Or che farò io a te, (o casa di) Giuda? La vostra misericordia è quasi come la chiara nuvola, e come la rugiada che passa la mattina.
5 Because of this, I have cut them with the prophets, I have slain them with the words of my mouth; and your opinions will depart like the light.	5 E però mi dolsi contro alli profeti, e uccisili colla parola della mia bocca; e li tuoi giudicii usciranno fuori come una luce.
6 For I desired mercy and not sacrifice, and knowledge of God more than holocausts.	6 Però ch' io volli misericordia, e non sacrificio, e la scienza di Dio più tosto che sacrificio.
7 But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; in this, they have been dishonest with me.	7 Ma loro sono prevaricati, come Adam, lo mio patto; e ivi prevaricarono contro a me.
8 Gilead is a city that manufactures idols; it has been tripped up by family relations.	8 Galaad, cittade di quelli che adorano li idoli, è affogata nel sangue.
9 And, like those who rob with skillful words, they, by conspiring with the priests, bring a death sentence to travelers on a pilgrimage from Shechem; for they have been performing evil deeds.	9 E quasi come bocca di ladroni (cioè li loro desiderii) che ha tolto parte de' sacerdoti, uccidendo nella via chi andavano e uscivano di Sichem (cioè d' un' altra terra, e andavano a fare male); però che hanno adoperato (e fatto) fellonia.
10 I have seen horrible things in the house of Israel; the fornications of Ephraim are there. Israel has been contaminated.	10 Nella casa d' Israel io vidi cosa molto spaventevole; ivi sono le fornicazioni di Efraim, (cioè che li uomini di Efraim hanno contaminato); è maculato Israel.
11 But you, Judah, set a harvest for yourself, while I reverse the captivity of my people.	11 Ma poni, tu Giuda, a te per ricolta, quando io averò convertita la cattivitade del mio popolo.
