Ezekiel 24

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, saying:	1 E fu fatta la parola di Dio a me nello anno nono, nel mese decimo, a' X del mese, e disse:
2 “Son of man, write for yourself the name of this day, on which the king of Babylon was confirmed against Jerusalem today.	2 O figliuolo d' uomo, scrivi a te lo nome di questo dì, nel quale di sì è confermato lo re di Babilonia inverso Ierusalem oggi (questo dì'.
3 And you shall speak, through a proverb, a parable to the inciting house. And you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: Set out a cooking pot; set it out, I say, and put water into it.	3 E dirai per proverbio la parabola alla casa irritatrice, e parlerai loro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: poni la pentola (di rame), io dico; ponila, e mettivi dell' acqua.
4 Pile together within it every morsel, every good piece, the thigh and the shoulder, the choice pieces and those full of bones.	4 E acconcia e raduna li pezzi (della pecora) in quella pentola, ogni buona parte, la ventresca, le spalle e le cosce, che sia parte eletta e piena d'ossa.
5 Take the fattest from the flock, and arrange also a heap of bones under it. Its cooking has boiled over, and its bones in its midst have been thoroughly cooked.	5 E togli una grassissima pecora (e lo più grasso che vi sia), e componi l' ordinazioni dell' ossa sotto quella; bollìo la sua cocitura, e le ossa furono spartite dalla carne nel mezzo della pentola.
6 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Woe to the city of blood, to the cooking pot that has rust in it, and whose rust has not gone out of it! Cast it out piece by piece! No lot has fallen upon it.	6 Per questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai alla città di sangue, (che abbia fatto omicidio), alla pentola la cui rossezza sia in lei, e la sua rossezza non uscio di lei; cacciala per le sue parti; la ventura buona non cadde sopra lei.
7 For her blood is in her midst; she has shed it upon the smoothest rock. She has not shed it upon the ground, so that it could be covered with dust.	7 Però che lo suo sangue sì è nel mezzo di lei, e sparse quello sangue sopra la pietra molto piana; non lo sparse sopra la terra, acciò che fusse potuto ricoprire con polvere.
8 So shall I bring my indignation over her, and take my vengeance. I have presented her blood upon the smoothest rock, so that it would not be covered.	8 Acciò ch' io adducessi di sopra la mia indegnazione, e vendicassimi con vendetta, io diedi lo suo sangue sopra la pietra pianissima acciò che non si coprisse.
9 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Woe to the city of blood, out of which I will make a great funeral pyre.	9 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai alla città del sangue (cioè omicidiale), lo cui radunamento di legne (e d' ossa) io farò grande.
10 Pile together the bones, which I will burn with fire. The flesh shall be consumed, and the entire composition shall be boiled, and the bones shall deteriorate.	10 Raduna le ossa, le quali io arderò col fuoco; la carne si consumerà, e tutta l' universa composizione, (cioè composizione di carne, sì come quando si mette al fuoco, tutta) si cocerà, e le ossa diventeranno chete.
11 Also, place it empty on burning coals, so that it may be heated, and its brass may melt. And let the filth of it be melted in its midst, and let its rust be consumed.	11 E ponila sopra li carboni võta, acciò che si scaldi, e lo suo rame diventi liquido, e fondasi nel mezzo del fuoco la sua bruttura, e la sua rossezza si consumi.
12 There has been much sweat and labor, and yet its extensive rust has not gone out of it, not even by fire.	12 E sudò (cioè si lessò) con molta fatica, e non uscio di lei la sua troppo rossezza, nè anche per fuoco.
13 Your uncleanness is execrable. For I wanted to cleanse you, and you have not been cleansed from your filth. So then, neither will you be cleansed before I cause my indignation over you to cease.	13 Tu se' esecrabile nella bruttura; però ch' io ti volli nettare, e non se' netta delle tue sozzure; ma tu non sarai nettata in prima, per sin a tanto ch' io farò in te riposare la mia indegnazione.
14 I, the Lord, have spoken. It shall happen, and I will act. I will not pass over, nor be lenient, nor be placated. I will judge you according to your ways and according to your intentions, says the Lord.”	14 Io Signore hoe parlato: venuto è (cioè l' assedio), e farò; e non poserò, nè perdonerò, nè non mi adumilierò; io t' hoe giudicato secondo le tue vie, e secondo ch' io hoe trovato di te, dice lo Signore Iddio.
15 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	15 E fue fatta la parola di Dio a me, dicendo:
16 “Son of man, behold, I am taking away from you, with a stroke, the desire of your eyes. And you shall not lament, and you shall not weep. And your tears shall not flow down.	16 O figliuolo d' uomo, ecco, io tolgo la cosa desiderabile de' tuoi occhi con piaga; e non piagnerai, e non scorreranno le tue lacrime.
17 Groan silently; you shall make no mourning for the dead. Let the band of your crown be on you, and let your shoes be on your feet. And you shall not cover your face, nor shall you eat the food of those who mourn.”	17 Piagni tacendo, e non farai pianto de' morti; la tua corona sia legata a te attorno, e li tuoi calzamenti saranno nelli tuoi piedi, e non ricoprirai la tua faccia, (cioè: non portare vedovatico de' tuoi morti), nè mangerai cibo de' piagnenti.
18 Therefore, I spoke to the people in the morning. And my wife died in the evening. And in the morning, I did just as he had instructed me.	18 Io parlai al popolo la mattina, e la mia moglie morì la sera; e feci la mattina, come m' avea comandato lo Signore.
19 And the people said to me: “Why won’t you explain to us what these things signify, which you are doing?”	19 E lo popolo disse a me: per che non ci dimostri (e per che non ci manifesti) quello che queste cose significano, le quali tu fai?
20 And I said to them: “The word of the Lord came to me, saying:	20 E dissi a loro: la parola di Dio si fece a me, dicendo:
21 ‘Speak to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will defile my sanctuary, the pride of your realm, and the desire of your eyes, and the dread of your soul. Your sons and your daughters, whom you have forsaken, will fall by the sword.’	21 Parla alla casa d'Israel: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io corromperò lo mio santuario la superbia della vostra signoria, lo desiderio delli vostri occhi, e sopra quella cosa dove ha paura la vostra anima; i vostri figliuoli e le vostre figliuole, li quali voi abbandonaste, cadranno di coltello.
22 And so, you shall do just as I have done. You shall not cover your faces, and you shall not eat the food of those who mourn.	22 E farete come io feci; non vi velerete la faccia con amitto, (cioè con copritura), e non mangerete cibi di piagnenti.
23 You shall have crowns on your heads, and shoes on your feet. You shall not lament, and you shall not weep. Instead, you will waste away in your iniquities, and each one will groan to his brother.	23 E averete corone ne' vostri capi, e calzamenti ne' piedi; non piagnerete; tacerete nelle vostre iniquitadi, e ciascuno gemerà al suo fratello.
24 ‘And Ezekiel shall be a portent for you. In accord with all that he has done, so shall you do, when this will happen. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.’ ”	24 Ed Ezechiel sarà a voi in significazione mirabilmente; secondo tutte quelle cose, ch' egli fece, voi farete quando verrà questo; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
25 “And as for you, son of man, behold, in the day when I will take away from them their strength, and the joy of their dignity, and the desire of their eyes, in which their souls find rest: their sons and their daughters,	25 E tu, figliuolo d' uomo, ecco, nel dì nel quale da loro torrò la forza e l'allegrezza della dignitade e lo desiderio delli loro occhi, sopra lo quale desiderio si riposano le loro anime, e li loro figliuoli e le loro figliuole;
26 in that day, when one who is fleeing will come to you, so that he may report to you,	26 in quel dì, quando verrà a te fuggendo, acciò ch' ello annunzii a te;
27 in that day, I say, your mouth shall be opened to him who has fled. And you shall speak, and you shall no longer be silent. And you shall be for them a portent. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”	27 in quel die, dico, tu aprirai la tua bocca con colui il quale fugge; e parlerai, e non tacerai più, e sarai loro esemplo; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
