Leviticus 19

1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e dissegli:
2 Speak to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: Be holy, for I, the Lord your God, am holy.	2 Parla a tutti i figliuoli d'Israel, e dirai a loro: siate santi, per ch' io sono santo, e sono Iddio vostro.
3 Let each one fear his father and his mother. Observe my Sabbaths. I am the Lord your God.	3 Ogni uomo tema lo padre suo e la madre sua. Le feste mie guardate. Io sono Iddio vostro.
4 Do not be willing to convert to idols, neither should you make molten gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.	4 Non vogliate adorare gl'idoli, nè farvi iddii di metallo. Io sono Iddio vostro.
5 If you immolate a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, so that he may be appeased,	5 Farete sacrificio di pacifici a Dio, acciò che vi sia benigno.
6 you shall eat it on the same day as when it was immolated, and the next day. Then whatever will remain on the third day you shall burn with fire.	6 In quello die che l'offerrete lo mangerete, e lo dì secondo; se lo terzo dì ne rimanesse alcuna cosa, arderetela al fuoco.
7 If anyone, after two days, will have eaten from it, he shall be profane and guilty of impiety.	7 E se alcuno ne mangiasse al terzo die, sarà sacrilego (e immondo) e colpabile d'empietà.
8 And he shall bear his iniquity, for he has polluted what is holy to the Lord. And that soul shall perish from his people.	8 E porterà la sua iniquità, però che le cose sante di Dio hae corrotte, e perirà quell'anima del suo popolo.
9 When you will have harvested the grain fields of your land, you shall not cut it down to the surface of the land, even to the ground, nor shall you gather the remaining ears of grain.	9 Quando seghera' le biade della terra tua, non andera' insino alla radice; le spighe che rimasero non ricogliera'.
10 Neither shall you gather the clusters or individual grapes which fall down in your vineyard, but you shall leave them for paupers and travelers to take. I am the Lord your God.	10 E nella vigna non ricogliera' i grappoli nè li granelli che caderanno, acciò che i poveri e i peregrini ne possano trovare. E io sono lo Signore e lo Iddio vostro.
11 You shall not steal. You shall not lie. Neither shall anyone deceive his neighbor.	11 Non farete furto; non mentirete; non ingannerà alcuno lo prossimo suo.
12 You shall not commit perjury in my name, nor shall you pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.	12 Non ispergiurerai il nome mio, e non bia stemerai il nome del tuo Iddio; però che io sono Iddio.
13 You shall not slander your neighbor, nor shall you oppress him by violence. The wages of a hired hand, you shall not delay with you until tomorrow.	13 Non farai ingiuria al prossimo tuo; per forza non lo sottomettere; non tenere il prezzo a chi t'avrà servito dall'uno dì all'altro.
14 You shall not speak evil of the deaf, nor shall you place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear the Lord your God, for I am the Lord.	14 Non maledicere lo sordo, e non porre cosa che offenda innanzi al cieco; ma temerai il nome del tuo Iddio; però che io son Signore.
15 You shall not do what is unjust, nor shall you judge unjustly. You shall not consider the reputation of the poor, nor shall you honor the countenance of the powerful. Judge your neighbor justly.	15 Non fare cosa iniqua; nè non giudicherai ingiustamente. Non considerare la persona del povero; nel viso dello ricco non riguardare; ma giu stamente giudica lo prossimo tuo.
16 You shall not be a detractor, nor a whisperer, among the people. You shall not stand against the blood of your neighbor. I am the Lord.	16 Non essere peccatore, nè rapportatore nel popolo; non istare contro al sangue del prossimo tuo. Io son Signore.
17 You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but reprove him openly, lest you have sin over him.	17 Non odiare nel cuore tuo il prossimo tuo, ma in manifesto lo riprendi, acciò che non abbii peccato inverso lui.
18 Do not seek revenge, neither should you be mindful of the injury of your fellow citizens. You shall love your friend as yourself. I am the Lord.	18 Non addimandare vendetta; e non ti ricordi delle ingiurie del prossimo tuo. L'amico tuo amerai come te medesimo. Io son Signore.
19 Observe my laws. You shall not cause your cattle to breed with other kinds of animals. You shall not sow your field with diverse seeds. You shall not be clothed with a garment which has been woven from two things.	19 E le mie leggi osserverete. Li tuoi animali non farai congiugnere con altre generazioni di animali. E nel tuo campo non seminare diversi semi. Di vesti, che siano di diversi colori, non ti vestire.
20 If a man will have slept in sexual intercourse with a woman, who is a servant and who is also able to be married, and yet he has not redeemed her with a price, nor paid to set her free, they both shall be beaten, but they shall not die, for she was not a free woman.	20 E se l'uomo dormirà colla femina congiu gnendosi con lei, se è serva ovvero donna nubile, e per prezzo non sia stata redenta, nè per propria volontade donata, sì siano battuti amenduoi, e non siano morti, perciò che non fue libera.
21 But, for his offense, he shall offer a ram to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.	21 Per lo peccato suo offerrà a Dio alla porta del tabernacolo della testimonianza uno montone.
22 And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, before the Lord, and he shall win his favor again for him, and the sin shall be forgiven.	22 E lo sacerdote pregherà per lui e per lo peccato suo dinnanzi al Signore, e Iddio gli perdo nerà, e saragli propizio.
23 When you will have entered into the land, and will have planted in it fruit trees, you shall take away their first-fruits; the fruit that germinates shall be unclean to you, neither shall you eat from these.	23 E quando anderete alli vostri campi per piantare arbori, torrete li primi pomi, perciò che sono immondi, e di quelli non mangerete.
24 But in the fourth year, all their fruit shall be sanctified for the praise of the Lord.	24 Nello quarto anno ogni frutto che faranno sì sarà santificato nel cospetto di Dio.
25 And in the fifth year you shall eat the produce, gathering the fruits which are brought forth. I am the Lord your God.	25 Nel quinto anno mangerete ogni frutto che faranno. E io sono lo vostro Signore Iddio.
26 You shall not eat with blood. You shall not practice divination, nor the observation of dreams.	26 Non mangerete (la carne) col sangue. Non farete [augurii], e non crederete alli sogni.
27 And you shall not cut the hair of your head circularly, nor shave your beard.	27 Non vi tondate il capo, non vi radete la barba.
28 You shall not cut your flesh for the dead, and you shall not make other figures or marks on yourself. I am the Lord.	28 E sopra lo morto non vi tagliate la carne; (non intagliate); e non farete figure; e non vi fate segni (nella carne con fuoco ovver altra materia); perciò ch' io sono Iddio.
29 Do not prostitute your daughter, lest the land be contaminated and filled with crimes.	29 Non porre la tua figliuola al postribolo, acciò che la terra non si contamini ed empiasi di peccato.
30 Observe my Sabbaths, and be apprehensive toward my Sanctuary. I am the Lord.	30 Le mie feste guarderete, e lo santuario mio abbiate in reverenza; e io sono Iddio vostro.
31 Do not turn aside to astrologers, nor consult with soothsayers, so as to be polluted through them. I am the Lord your God.	31 Non andate agli maghi nè aglindovini, e non credete a loro, acciò che vi facciano peccare. Io sono Iddio vostro.
32 Rise up in the presence of a gray-haired head, and honor the reputation of an elder, and fear the Lord your God. I am the Lord.	32 Lièvati su dinnanzi a quello che è canuto, e onora la persona del vecchio; e temi il tuo Signore Iddio. Io sono lo Signore.
33 If a newcomer lives in your land and abides among you, do not reproach him,	33 E se lo forestiere viene fra voi è istavvi, non lo cacciate.
34 but let him be among you like one native born. And you shall love him as yourselves. For you were also newcomers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.	34 Ma istia fra voi siccome uno di voi, e da voi sia amato come voi istessi; perciò che voi foste forestieri in Egitto, e io sono Iddio vostro.
35 Do not be willing to accomplish iniquity in judgment, in lengths, in weights, in quantities.	35 Non fate iniquità nè ingiustizia; ma fate in mesura, in regola e in peso tutte le cose vostre.
36 Let the scales be just and the weights equal, let the dry measure be just and the liquid measure be equal. I am the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt.	36 La statera sia giusta e li pesi eguali. Giusto sia il moggio e lo staio eguale. Io sono lo vostro Iddio, lo quale vi trassi d'Egitto.
37 Keep all my precepts, and all my judgments, and accomplish them. I am the Lord.	37 Osservate tutti li miei comandamenti, e tutti li miei giudicii; però ch' io sono Iddio vostro Signore.
