1 In parts according to verses. A Psalm of David. For the octave.	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, in Neghinot, sopra Seminit SIGNORE, non correggermi nella tua ira, E non gastigarmi nel tuo cruccio.
2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.	2 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore; perciocchè io son tutto fiacco; Sanami, Signore; perciocchè le mie ossa son tutte smarrite.
3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,	3 L’anima mia eziandio è grandemente smarrita; E tu, Signore, infino a quando?
4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?	4 Rivolgiti, o Signore; riscuoti l’anima mia; Salvami, per amor della tua benignità.
5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.	5 Perciocchè nella morte non v’è memoria di te; Chi ti celebrerà nel sepolcro?
6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?	6 Io mi affanno ne’ miei sospiri; Io allago tutta notte il mio letto, E bagno la mia lettiera colle mie lagrime.
7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.	7 L’occhio mio è consumato di fastidio; Egli è invecchiato per cagione di tutti i miei nemici
8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.	8 Ritraetevi da me, voi tutti operatori d’iniquità; Perciocchè il Signore ha udita la voce del mio pianto.
9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.	9 Il Signore ha udita la mia supplicazione; Il Signore ha accettata la mia orazione.
10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.	10 Tutti i miei nemici sieno confusi, e grandemente smarriti; Voltin le spalle, e sieno svergognati in un momento
11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
