Psalms 148

1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.	1 Laudate il Signore del cielo; laudatelo nelli eccelsi.
2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!	2 Laudatelo tutti li angeli suoi; laudatelo tutte le virtù sue.
3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,	3 Laudatelo sole e luna; laudatelo tutte le stelle e luce.
4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.	4 Laudatelo li cieli de' cieli; e le acque, che son sopra li cieli, laudino il nome del Signore.
5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;	5 Per che egli disse, e furono fatte; egli comandò, e furono create.
6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.	6 Ordinò quelle in eterno, e in SECULUM SECULI; puose il comandamento, e nol moverà.
7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,	7 Laudate il Signore chi siete in terra, caverne e tutti li abissi;
8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,	8 fuoco, gragnuola, neve, ghiaccio, spirito di tempeste, che fanno il comandamento suo;
9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,	9 o monti e tutti li colli; arbori fruttiferi e tutti li cedri;
10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,	10 voi, bestie e tutte pecore; serpenti e uccelli volatili;
11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,	11 voi, re della terra e tutti li popoli; prìncipi e tutti giudici della terra.
12 young men and girls, old people and children together.	12 Giovani e vergini, vecchi con giovencelli, laudino il Signore;
13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.	13 per che è esaltato solo il nome suo.
14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.	14 La sua confessione sia sopra il cielo e la terra; e lui esaltarà la potenza del popolo suo. Sia laude a tutti li santi suoi; alli figliuoli d' Israel, populo apropinquante a lui.
