1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year ofSolomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began building the Temple ofYahweh.	1 E nel CCCC LXXX anno che i figliuoli d'Israel uscirono della terra d'Egitto, nel quarto anno, nel mese[zio] (cioè maggio), il quale è il secondo mese, del re[gno di] Salomone sopra Israel intervenne che Salomone incominciò ad edificare la casa di Dio.
2 The temple which King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and twenty-five high.	2 E la casa, che Salomone edificava al Signore, era LX gomitali lunga, e venti larga (secondo la misura della larghezza), e trenta alta.
3 The portico in front of the Hekal of the Temple was twenty cubits long across the width of the Templeand ten cubits wide along the length of the Temple.	3 E portichi erano dinanzi al tempio, XX gomiti di lunghezza, secondo la misura della larghezza del tempio; e aveano di larghezza X gomiti dinanzi alla faccia del tempio.
4 He made windows for the Temple with frames and latticework.	4 E fece nel tempio finestre larghe dalla parte di dentro.
5 He also built an annex against the Temple wal , right round the Hekal and Debir. He built lateral storeysal round;	5 E sopra le mura del tempio edificò pareti di tavole d'intorno, e in li pareti della casa per il circuito del tempio, e all' oratorio, e d' intorno fece làtora.
6 the lowest lateral storey was five cubits wide, the middle one six cubits, and the third seven cubits, for hehad made the outside of the Temple wal correspondingly stepped back al round, so that the annex was notattached to the Temple wal s.	6 Il tavolato, che era di sotto, era largo cinque gomiti, e quello di mezzo sei, e il terzo sette; e travi nella casa puose di fuori per circuito, sì che non toccassero il muro del tempio.
7 (The building of the Temple was done with quarry -- dressed stone; no sound of hammer or pick or anyiron tool was to be heard in the Temple while it was being built.)	7 Ed edificandosi la casa, fu edificata di pietre dolate e lavorate; nè martello nè iscure nè veruno altro ferramento fu udito nel tempio, quando si edificava.
8 The entrance to the lowest storey was at the right-hand corner of the Temple; access to the middlestorey was by a spiral staircase, and so from the middle storey to the third.	8 L'uscio del lato di mezzo era nella parte destra della casa; e ascendevano al mezzo del cenacolo per una scala in modo di lumaca, e da quello di mezzo nel terzo.
9 Having finished building the Temple, he roofed the Temple with a coffered ceiling of cedar wood.	9 Ed edificò la casa e fornilla; e coperse la casa di dentro di copritura di cedro.
10 Round the outside of the Temple he then built the annex which was five cubits high and was joined tothe Temple by cedar-wood beams.	10 Ed edificò uno tavolato sopra tutta la casa, di cinque gomiti alto; e coperse la casa di legno di cedro.
11 And the word of Yahweh came to Solomon,	11 E fu fatto il sermone di Dio a Salomone, e. disse:
12 'With regard to this temple which you are now building, if you follow my statutes and obey myordinances and faithful y follow my commandments, I shal fulfil the promise which I made about you to yourfather David.	12 Questa casa che tu edifichi, se tu anderai per li miei comandamenti, e farai gli miei giudicii, e serverai gli miei comandamenti, io fermarò a te la parola ch' io dissi a tuo padre.
13 And I shal make my home among the Israelites and never forsake Israel my people.'	13 E abiterò nel mezzo del mio popolo Israel, e non abbandonerò Israel mio popolo.
14 Solomon finished building the Temple.	14 Or edificò Salomone la casa, e fornilla.
15 He lined the inside of the Temple wal s with panels of cedar wood-panelling them on the inside fromthe floor of the Temple to the beams of the ceiling -- and laid the floor of the Temple with juniper planks.	15 E vestio dentro le mura di tavole di cedro, dallo spazzo insino al sommo delle mura; e insino al coprimento coperse dentro di legni [di cedro]; e coperse lo spazzo della casa di tavole d' abeto.
16 The twenty cubits measured from the end of the Temple he built of cedar planks from the floor to thebeams, and this part was reserved as the Debir, the Holy of Holies.	16 E dalla parte di retro del tempio edificò uno tavolato di cedro di XX gomiti, dallo spazzo insino al sommo; e la casa dentro dello oratorio fece per SANCTA SANCTORUM.
17 The Temple measured forty cubits -- the Hekal -- in front of the Debir.	17 Ed era il tempio, dinanzi alla porta dello oratorio, quaranta gomiti.
18 There was cedar wood round the inside of the Temple, ornamentally carved with gourds and rosettes;al was cedar wood, with no stone showing.	18 E tutta la casa era vestita dentro di cedro, e avea le sue tornature e giunture lavorate sottilmente, e le imagini (e pitture) eminenti (e alte); e tutte erano vestite di cedro; e non si potea vedere pietra nessuna nelle mura.
19 In the inner part of the Temple he designed a Debir, to contain the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	19 Ed era fatto l'oratorio nel mezzo della casa dal lato dentro, nella quale si ponesse l'arca del patto di Dio.
20 The Debir was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty high, and he overlaid it on the insidewith pure gold. He made an altar of cedar wood	20 E l'oracolo era lungo XX gomitali, e XX largo, ed alto XX; e coverselo e vestillo d'oro purissimo; e l'altare vestio di cedro.
21 in front of the Debir and overlaid it with gold.	21 E la casa, dinanzi all' oratorio, vestio d'oro purissimo; e le piastre dell' oro conficcò con aguti d' oro.
22 He overlaid the whole Temple with gold, the whole Temple entirely.	22 E non era cosa niuna nel tempio, che non fosse vestita d'oro; e tutto l'altare dello oracolo coperse d'oro.
23 In the Debir he made two great winged creatures of wild-olive wood. . .It was ten cubits high.	23 E fece nell' oratorio due cherubini di legno d'olivo, alti X gomitali.
24 One winged creature's wing was five cubits long and the other wing five cubits: ten cubits from wing tipto wing tip.	24 Di cinque cubiti era una ala di uno cherubino, e di cinque cubiti era l'altra ala del cherubino; cioè ch' era della sommità dell' una ala alla sommità dell' altra ala X gomitali.
25 The other winged creature also measured ten cubits; both had the same measurements and the sameshape.	25 E il secondo cherubino era X gomitali, d' eguale misura; e d' uno medesimo lavorio era amendui gli cherubini;
26 The height of one was the same as the other's.	26 cioè che X gomiti era alto l' uno cherubino, e somigliantemente il secondo cherubino.
27 He placed them in the middle of the inner chamber; their wings were spread out so that the wing of onetouched one of the wal s and the wing of the other touched the other wall, while their wings met in the middle ofthe chamber wing to wing.	27 E puose questi cherubini nel mezzo della casa dentro; e stendea l' uno cherubino l'ale, e toccava l' uno delle mura con l' una dell' ale; e l'ala dell' altro toccava l'altro muro; e l' ale d' amendue nel mezzo del tempio toccavasi l' una l' altra.
28 And he overlaid them with gold.	28 E coperse li cherubini d' oro.
29 Al round the Temple wal s he carved figures of winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, both insideand outside.	29 E tutte le mura del tempio dintorno sì lavorò ... di diverse dipinture rilevate, quasi come uscissero delle mura.
30 He overlaid the floor of the Temple with gold, both inside and outside.	30 E lo spazzo della casa coperse d'oro dentro e di fuori.
31 He made the door of the Debir with uprights of wild-olive wood, and door jambs with five indentedsections,	31 E nell'entrata dell' oratorio fece due uscietti di legno d'ulivo; e cinque entrate fece nei canti,
32 and the two leaves of wild-olive wood. He carved figures of great winged creatures, palm trees androsettes which he overlaid with gold, and he gilded winged creatures and palm trees.	32 e due usci di legno d' ulivo; e intagliò in essi le imagini de' cherubini, e similitudini di palme, e imagini molto iscolpite; e tutte le coperse d'oro; e coperse i cherubini e le palme e le sculture d'oro.
33 Similarly, he made uprights of wild-olive wood for the door of the Hekal, and door jambs with fourindented sections,	33 E fece nell'entrata del tempio uscietti di legno d' ulivo a quattro canti,
34 and the two leaves of juniper: one leaf had two ribs binding it, and the other had two ribs binding it.	34 e due uscioli di legno d' abeto da lato; e ciascuno uscio era doppio, e tenendo l'uno l'altro s' aprìa.
35 He carved winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, which he overlaid with gold laid evenly over thecarvings.	35 E intagliò gli cherubini e palme molto iscolpite; e tutte coperse di piastre d' oro, d' opera quadrata a regolo.
36 He built the wal of the inner court in three courses of dressed stone and one course of cedar beams.	36 E dentro edificò una casa, con tre ordini di pietre polite, e con uno ordine di legno di cedro.
37 In the fourth year, in the month of Ziv, the foundations of the Temple were laid;	37 Il quarto anno fu fondata la casa del Signore del mese di maggio.
38 in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul -- that is, the eighth month -- the Temple was completedexactly as it had been planned and designed. Solomon took seven years to build it.	38 E l' undecimo anno, del mese d' ottobre; questo è il mese ottavo; fu compiuta la casa con tutto il suo vasellamento; e bastò il lavorare sette anni.
