1 These are the descendants of Esau, that is, Edom.	1 Queste sono in verità le generazioni di Esaù; egli è Edom.
2 Esau chose his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamahdaughter of Anah, son of Zibeon the Horite,	2 Esaù tolse moglie delle figliuole di Canaan: Ada figliuola di Elon Eteo, ed Oolibama figliuola d'Ana figliuola di Sebeon Eveo,

6 Esau took his wives, his sons and daughters, al the members of his household, his livestock, al hiscattle and al the goods he had acquired in Canaan and left for Seir, away from his brother Jacob.	6 E menò Esaù le mogli sue e le figliuole ed ogni anima della casa sua, e sostanza e bestie, ed ogni cosa che potea e che avea nella terra di Canaan; e andonne in altra regione, e dipartissi dal fratello suo Iacob.
7 For they had acquired too much to live together. The land in which they were at that time could notsupport them both because of their livestock.	7 In verità egli erano molto ricchissimi, e insieme abitare non poteano; e non sostenea loro la terra della peregrinazione loro per la moltitudine delle gregge.
8 That is why Edom settled in the mountainous region of Seir. Esau is Edom.	8 E abitò Esaù nel monte Seir; esso è Edom.
9 These are the descendants of Esau, ancestor of Edom, in the mountainous region of Seir.	9 Queste sono ancora le generazioni d'Esail, padre d'Edom, nel monte Seir.

34 Jobab died and Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded.	34 E conciosia cosa che morto fosse Iobab, re gnoe per lui usam della terra Temana.
35 Husham died and Hadad son of Bedad succeeded; he defeated the Midianites in Moab, and his citywas called Avith.	35 E questo ancora morto, regnoe per lui Adad figliuolo di Badad, il quale percosse Madian nella regione di Moab: e il nome della città sua Ivit.

40 These are the names of the chieftains of Esau -- according to their clans and localities: the chieftainsof Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,	40 E questi sono adunque i nomi de' duchi d'Esaù, ne'parentadi e luoghi e loro vocaboli: lo duca di Tamna, lo duca d'Alva, lo duca di Ietet,
41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,	41 lo duca d'Oolibama, lo duca di Ela, lo duca di Finon,
42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,	42 lo duca di Cenez, lo duca di Teman, lo duca di Mabsar,
