1 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי מואב ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על שרפו עצמות מלך אדום לשיד	1 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Moab, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have burnt the bones of the king of Edom to ash,
2 ושלחתי אש במואב ואכלה ארמנות הקריות ומת בשאון מואב בתרועה בקול שופר	2 I shal send fire down into Moab to devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab will die in the tumult, amidwar cries and the blare of trumpets;
3 והכרתי שופט מקרבה וכל שריה אהרוג עמו אמר יהוה	3 I shal destroy the ruler there and slaughter al the chief men there with him, says Yahweh.
4 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי יהודה ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מאסם את תורת יהוה וחקיו לא שמרו ויתעום כזביהם אשר הלכו אבותם אחריהם	4 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Judah, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have despised Yahweh's law and not kept his commandments, since their Falsehoods,which their ancestors followed, have led them astray,
5 ושלחתי אש ביהודה ואכלה ארמנות ירושלם	5 I shal send fire down on Judah to devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי ישראל ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מכרם בכסף צדיק ואביון בעבור נעלים	6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Israel, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have sold the upright for silver and the poor for a pair of sandals,
7 השאפים על עפר ארץ בראש דלים ודרך ענוים יטו ואיש ואביו ילכו אל הנערה למען חלל את שם קדשי	7 because they have crushed the heads of the weak into the dust and thrust the rights of the oppressedto one side, father and son sleeping with the same girl and thus profaning my holy name,
8 ועל בגדים חבלים יטו אצל כל מזבח ויין ענושים ישתו בית אלהיהם	8 lying down beside every altar on clothes acquired as pledges, and drinking the wine of the people theyhave fined in the house of their god.
9 ואנכי השמדתי את האמרי מפניהם אשר כגבה ארזים גבהו וחסן הוא כאלונים ואשמיד פריו ממעל ושרשיו מתחת	9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, he who was as tal as the cedars, as strong as theoaks; I who destroyed his fruit above ground and his roots below.
10 ואנכי העליתי אתכם מארץ מצרים ואולך אתכם במדבר ארבעים שנה לרשת את ארץ האמרי	10 It was I who brought you up from Egypt and for forty years led you through the desert to takepossession of the Amorite's country;
11 ואקים מבניכם לנביאים ומבחוריכם לנזרים האף אין זאת בני ישראל נאם יהוה	11 I who raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Israelites, is this nottrue? -declares Yahweh!
12 ותשקו את הנזרים יין ועל הנביאים צויתם לאמר לא תנבאו	12 But you have made the Nazirite drink wine and given orders to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy.'
13 הנה אנכי מעיק תחתיכם כאשר תעיק העגלה המלאה לה עמיר	13 Very wel ! Like a cart overloaded with sheaves I shall crush you where you stand;
14 ואבד מנוס מקל וחזק לא יאמץ כחו וגבור לא ימלט נפשו	14 flight wil be cut off for the swift, the strong will have no chance to exert his strength nor the warrior beable to save his life;
15 ותפש הקשת לא יעמד וקל ברגליו לא ימלט ורכב הסוס לא ימלט נפשו	15 the archer wil not stand his ground, the swift of foot wil not escape, nor will the horseman save hislife;
16 ואמיץ לבו בגבורים ערום ינוס ביום ההוא נאם יהוה	16 even the bravest of warriors will jettison his arms and run away, that day! -declares Yahweh!
