Zechariah 3

1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.	1 Poi mi mostrò il sommo sacerdote Giosuè, che stava in piedi davanti all'angelo del Signore, e satana stava alla sua destra per accusarlo.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?	2 L'angelo del Signore disse a satana: "Che il Signore ti reprima, satana! Sì, che il Signore ti reprima! Egli che ha eletto Gerusalemme! Non è costui un tizzone tratto dal fuoco?".
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.	3 Infatti Giosuè era vestito di sordide vesti, mentre stava in piedi davanti all'angelo del Signore.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.	4 Egli riprese la parola e disse a coloro che stavano davanti a costui: "Toglietegli di dosso quelle sordide vesti e rivestitelo di abiti preziosi!". E disse a Giosuè: "Vedi, ho tolto via da te il tuo peccato". Poi soggiunse: "
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.	5 Ponetegli una tiara pura sul capo!". Allora gli posero la tiara pura in testa e lo rivestirono di candide vesti alla presenza dell'angelo del Signore.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,	6 L'angelo del Signore assicurò solennemente Giosuè:
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.	7 "Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: Se tu camminerai nelle mie vie, se osserverai le mie prescrizioni, governerai tu pure la mia casa, custodirai i miei atri e ti darò libero accesso tra coloro che stanno qui".
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.	8 "Ascolta, Giosuè, sommo sacerdote, tu e i tuoi colleghi, assisi davanti a te: voi siete infatti uomini di presagio. Sì, ecco, faccio venire il mio servo Germoglio.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.	9 Sì, ecco la pietra che pongo davanti a Giosuè: sopra un'unica pietra ci sono sette occhi. Sì, ecco io stesso v'incido la sua decorazione, oracolo del Signore degli eserciti, e cancellerò il peccato di questa terra in un solo giorno.
10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.	10 Quel giorno, oracolo del Signore degli eserciti, vi inviterete l'un l'altro sotto la vite e sotto il fico".
