1 when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.	1 Del maestro de coro. Poema de David.
2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.	2 Cuando el edomita Doeg vino a avisar a Saúl, diciéndole: «David ha entrado en casa de Ajimélec».
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.	3 ¿Por qué te jactas de tu malicia, hombre prepotente y sin piedad?
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.	4 Estás todo el día tramando maldades, tu lengua es como navaja afilada, y no haces más que engañar.
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.	5 Prefieres el mal al bien, la mentira a la verdad;
6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:	6 amas las palabras hirientes, ¡lengua mentirosa!
7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.	7 Por eso Dios te derribará, te destruirá para siempre, te arrojará de tu carpa, te arrancará de la tierra de los vivientes.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.	8 Al ver esto, los justos sentirán temor y se reirán de él, diciendo:
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.	9 «Este es el hombre que no puso su refugio en Dios, sino que confió en sus muchas riquezas y se envalentonó por su maldad».
	10 Yo, en cambio, como un olivo frondoso en la Casa de Dios, he puesto para siempre mi confianza en la misericordia de Dios.
	11 Te daré gracias eternamente por lo que has hecho, y proclamaré la bondad de tu Nombre delante de tus fieles.
