Psalms 122

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.	1 Cantique des montées. De David. J'étais joyeux que l'on me dise: Allons à la maison de Yahvé!
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.	2 Enfin nos pieds s'arrêtent dans tes portes, Jérusalem!
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:	3 Jérusalem, bâtie comme une ville où tout ensemble fait corps,
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.	4 Là où montent les tribus, les tribus de Yahvé, est pour Israël une raison de rendre grâce au nom deYahvé.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Car ils sont là, les sièges du jugement, les sièges de la maison de David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.	6 Appelez la paix sur Jérusalem: que reposent tes tentes!
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.	7 Advienne la paix dans tes murs: repos en tes palais!
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.	8 Pour l'amour de mes frères, de mes amis, laisse-moi dire: paix sur toi!
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.	9 Pour l'amour de la maison de Yahvé notre Dieu, je prie pour ton bonheur!
