1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.	1 Queste sono in verità le generazioni di Esaù; egli è Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;	2 Esaù tolse moglie delle figliuole di Canaan: Ada figliuola di Elon Eteo, ed Oolibama figliuola d'Ana figliuola di Sebeon Eveo,
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.	3 e Basemat figliuola d'Ismael, sorella di Nabaiot.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;	4 E partorìo Ada Elifaz; e Basemat generoe Rauel.
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.	5 Colibama fece leus e Telon e Core. Questi sono i figliuoli di Esaù, i quali sono nati a lui nella terra di Canaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.	6 E menò Esaù le mogli sue e le figliuole ed ogni anima della casa sua, e sostanza e bestie, ed ogni cosa che potea e che avea nella terra di Canaan; e andonne in altra regione, e dipartissi dal fratello suo Iacob.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.	7 In verità egli erano molto ricchissimi, e insieme abitare non poteano; e non sostenea loro la terra della peregrinazione loro per la moltitudine delle gregge.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.	8 E abitò Esaù nel monte Seir; esso è Edom.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:	9 Queste sono ancora le generazioni d'Esail, padre d'Edom, nel monte Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.	10 Questi sono nomi de' figlinoli suoi: Elifaz figliuolo d'Ada moglie d'Esau, e Rauel figliuolo di Basemat sua moglie.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.	11 E furono figliuoli d'Elifaz: Teman, Omar, Sefo e Gatam e Cenez.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.	12 Era imperò Tamna, concubina di Elifaz figliuolo d'Esaù; la quale partorì a lui Amalec. Que sti sono i figliuoli d'Ada moglie d'Esaù.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	13 Ma i figliuoli di Rauel: Naat e Zara e Samma e Meza. Questi sono i figliuoli di Basemat moglie d'Esaù.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.	14 Questi erano figliuoli di Oolibama, figliuola d'Ana figliuola di Sebeon, moglie d'Esaù, i quali generò a lui: Ieus e Ielon e Core.
15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,	15 Questi sono i duci de' figliuoli d'Esaù: i figliuoli di Elifaz primogenito d'Esaù: il duca di Teman, il duca di Omar, il duca di Sefo, il duca di Cenez,
16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.	16 il duca di Core, il duca di Gatam, il duca di Amalec. Questi sono i figliuoli di Elifaz nella terra d'Edom; e questi sono i figliuoli d'Ada.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	17 E questi sono i figliuoli di Rauel, figliuolo d'Esaù: il duca di Naat, il duca di Zara, il duca di Samma, il duca di Meza. Questi sono i duchi di Rauel nella terra d'Edom. Questi sono i figliuoli di Basemat, moglie d'Esaù.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.	18 Questi ancora erano figliuoli di Colibama, moglie di Esaù: il duca di Ieus, il duca di Ielon, il duca di Core. Questi sono i duchi di Oolibama, figliuola di Ana, moglie d'Esaù.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.	19 Questi sono i figliuoli d'Esaù; e questi sono i duchi loro; elli è Edom.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,	20 E questi sono i figliuoli di Seir Orreo, abitatori della terra: Lotan e Sobal e Sebeon ed Ana
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.	21 [e Dison ed Eser] e Disan. Questi sono i duchi d'Orreo, figliuoli di Seir, nella terra d'Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.	22 E fatti sono i figliuoli di Lotan: Ori ed Eman; ma la sorella di Lotan era Tamna.
23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.	23 E questi sono i figliuoli di Sobal: Alvan e Manaat ed Ebal e Sefo ed Onam.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.	24 E questi sono i figliuoli di Sebeon: Aia e Ana. 29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,	29 Questi sono i duchi Orrei: il duca di Lotan, il duca di Sobal, il duca di Sebeon, il duca d'Ana,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.	30 il duca di Dison, il duca di Eser, il duca di Disan. Questi sono i duchi Orrei, i quali imperarono nella terra di Seir.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.	31 Questi furono i re, che regnarono nella terra di Edom, innanzi che avessero re i figliuoli d'Israel:
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	32 Bela figliuolo di Beor; e lo nome della città sua fue Denaba.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.	33 E morto è Bela, e regnoe per lui Iobab, figliuolo di Zara di Bosra.
34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.	34 E conciosia cosa che morto fosse Iobab, re gnoe per lui usam della terra Temana.
35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.	35 E questo ancora morto, regnoe per lui Adad figliuolo di Badad, il quale percosse Madian nella regione di Moab: e il nome della città sua Ivit.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.	36 E quando fui morto Adad, regnoe per lui Semla di Masreca.
37 And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.	37 E costui ancora morto, regnoe per lui Saul del fiume Roobot.
38 And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.	38 E ancora, conciosia cosa che costui morisse, signoreggioe nel regno Balanan figliuolo d'Acobor,
39 And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.	39 E questo ancora morto, regnoe per lui Adar; il nome della città sua Fau. Ed era chiamata la moglie sua Meetabel, figliuola di Matred figliuola di Mezaab.
40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,	40 E questi sono adunque i nomi de' duchi d'Esaù, ne'parentadi e luoghi e loro vocaboli: lo duca di Tamna, lo duca d'Alva, lo duca di Ietet,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,	41 lo duca d'Oolibama, lo duca di Ela, lo duca di Finon,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,	42 lo duca di Cenez, lo duca di Teman, lo duca di Mabsar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.	43 lo duca di Magdiel, lo duca d'Iram: questi sono i duchi d'Edom, abitanti nella terra dello imperio suo: egli Esaù, padre degli Idumei.
