1 Dávidtól. Az Úr az én világosságom és üdvösségem: kitől kellene félnem? Az Úr oltalmazza életemet: kitől kellene remegnem?	1 [Of David] Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life,whom should I dread?
2 Ha közelednek felém a gonoszok, hogy egyék húsomat, ellenségeim, akik szorongatnak, maguk botlanak meg és elesnek.	2 When the wicked advance against me to eat me up, they, my opponents, my enemies, are the oneswho stumble and fal .
3 Ha táborok kelnek is ellenem, nem ijed meg szívem; Ha harc támad is ellenem, akkor is reménykedem.	3 Though an army pitch camp against me, my heart wil not fear, though war break out against me, mytrust wil never be shaken.
4 Egyet kérek az Úrtól, azért esedezem: hadd lakjam az Úr házában életemnek minden napján, hadd lássam az Úr pompáját, hadd látogassam templomát.	4 One thing I ask of Yahweh, one thing I seek: to dwel in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, toenjoy the sweetness of Yahweh, to seek out his temple.
5 Mert ő elrejt hajlékában a veszedelem idején, elbújtat sátra rejtekében, kősziklára emel fel engem.	5 For he hides me away under his roof on the day of evil, he folds me in the recesses of his tent, setsme high on a rock.
6 Így fölemeli fejemet ellenségeim fölé, akik körülvesznek. Én pedig diadalkiáltással áldozatot mutatok be hajlékában, éneklek és zsoltárt zengek az Úrnak.	6 Now my head is held high above the enemies who surround me; in his tent I wil offer sacrifices ofacclaim. I wil sing, I wil make music for Yahweh.
7 Halld meg, Uram, szózatomat, amellyel hozzád kiáltok, könyörülj rajtam és hallgass meg engem!	7 Yahweh, hear my voice as I cry, pity me, answer me!
8 Rólad mondja a szívem: »Téged keres tekintetem!« A te arcodat keresem, Uram!	8 Of you my heart has said, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Yahweh, I seek;
9 Ne fordítsd el tőlem arcodat, ne fordulj el haragodban szolgádtól, te vagy segítőm! Ne hagyj el és ne vess meg engem, üdvözítő Istenem!	9 do not turn away from me. Do not thrust aside your servant in anger, without you I am helpless. Neverleave me, never forsake me, God, my Saviour.
10 Hisz atyám és anyám is elhagyott, de az Úr fölkarolt engem.	10 Though my father and mother forsake me, Yahweh wil gather me up.
11 Mutasd meg nekem, Uram, utadat, és vezess engem a helyes ösvényre ellenségeim miatt.	11 Yahweh, teach me your way, lead me on the path of integrity because of my enemies;
12 Ne adj át ellenségeim akaratának, mert hamis tanúk támadnak ellenem, akik erőszakot lihegnek.	12 do not abandon me to the wil of my foes -- false witnesses have risen against me, and are breathingout violence.
13 Hiszem, hogy meglátom az Úr javait az élők földjén.	13 This I believe: I shal see the goodness of Yahweh, in the land of the living.
14 Remélj az Úrban, légy férfias, bátor legyen szíved, és bízzál az Úrban!	14 Put your hope in Yahweh, be strong, let your heart be bold, put your hope in Yahweh.
