1 Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée au prophète Jérémie sur les Philistins, avant que Pharaon nefrappe Gaza:	1 This is the word that came from the LORD to the prophet Jeremiah concerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh attacked Gaza:
2 Ainsi parle Yahvé. Voici les eaux qui montent du Nord, elles deviennent un fleuve débordant quisubmerge le pays avec ce qu'il contient, les villes avec leurs habitants. Les hommes crient, ils gémissent tous leshabitants du pays,	2 Thus says the LORD: Behold: waters are rising from the north, a torrent in flood; It shall flood the land and all that is in it, the cities and their people. All the people of the land set up a wailing cry.
3 au martèlement des sabots de ses chevaux, au vacarme de ses chars, au fracas de ses roues.
