Prima lettera ai Corinzi - 1 Corinthians 6

1 Τολμα τις απο σας, οταν εχη διαφοραν προς τον αλλον, να κρινηται ενωπιον των αδικων και ουχι ενωπιον των αγιων;	1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?
2 Δεν εξευρετε οτι οι αγιοι θελουσι κρινει τον κοσμον; και εαν ο κοσμος κρινηται απο σας, αναξιοι εισθε να κρινητε ελαχιστα πραγματα;	2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?
3 Δεν εξευρετε οτι αγγελους θελομεν κρινει; ποσω μαλλον βιωτικα;	3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.
4 Βιωτικας λοιπον κρισεις εαν εχητε, τους εξουθενημενους εν τη εκκλησια τουτους καθιζετε κριτας.	4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!
5 Προς εντροπην σας λεγω τουτο. Ουτω δεν υπαρχει μεταξυ σας ουδε εις σοφος, οστις θελει δυνηθη να κρινη ανα μεσον του αδελφου αυτου,	5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,
6 αλλα αδελφος κρινεται με αδελφον, και τουτο ενωπιον απιστων;	6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?
7 Τωρα λοιπον ειναι διολου ελαττωμα εις εσας οτι εχετε κρισεις μεταξυ σας. Δια τι μαλλον δεν αδικεισθε; δια τι μαλλον δεν αποστερεισθε;	7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?
8 Αλλα σεις αδικειτε και αποστερειτε, και μαλιστα αδελφους.	8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.
9 Η δεν εξευρετε οτι οι αδικοι δεν θελουσι κληρονομησει την βασιλειαν του Θεου; Μη πλανασθε? ουτε πορνοι ουτε ειδωλολατραι ουτε μοιχοι ουτε μαλακοι ουτε αρσενοκοιται	9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,
10 ουτε κλεπται ουτε πλεονεκται ουτε μεθυσοι ουτε λοιδοροι ουτε αρπαγες θελουσι κληρονομησει την βασιλειαν του Θεου.	10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.
11 Και τοιουτοι υπηρχετε τινες? αλλα απελουσθητε, αλλα ηγιασθητε, αλλ' εδικαιωθητε δια του ονοματος του Κυριου Ιησου και δια του Πνευματος του Θεου ημων.	11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.
12 Παντα ειναι εις την εξουσιαν μου, πλην παντα δεν συμφερουσι? παντα ειναι εις την εξουσιαν μου, αλλ' εγω δεν θελω εξουσιασθη υπ' ουδενος.	12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.
13 Τα φαγητα ειναι δια την κοιλιαν και η κοιλια δια τα φαγητα? πλην ο Θεος και ταυτην και ταυτα θελει καταργησει? το δε σωμα δεν ειναι δια την πορνειαν, αλλα δια τον Κυριον, και ο Κυριος δια το σωμα?	13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;
14 ο δε Θεος και τον Κυριον ανεστησε και ημας θελει αναστησει δια της δυναμεως αυτου.	14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.
15 Δεν εξευρετε οτι τα σωματα σας ειναι μελη του Χριστου; να λαβω λοιπον τα μελη του Χριστου και να καμω αυτα μελη πορνης; Μη γενοιτο.	15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!
16 Η δεν εξευρετε οτι ο προσκολλωμενος με την πορνην ειναι εν σωμα; διοτι θελουσιν εισθαι, λεγει, οι δυο εις σαρκα μιαν?	16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.
17 οστις ομως προσκολλαται με τον Κυριον ειναι εν πνευμα.	17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.
18 Φευγετε την πορνειαν. Παν αμαρτημα, το οποιον ηθελε πραξει ο ανθρωπος, ειναι εκτος του σωματος? ο πορνευων ομως αμαρτανει εις το ιδιον αυτου σωμα.	18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
19 Η δεν εξευρετε οτι το σωμα σας ειναι ναος του Αγιου Πνευματος του εν υμιν, το οποιον εχετε απο Θεου, και δεν εισθε κυριοι εαυτων;	19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?
20 Διοτι ηγορασθητε δια τιμης? δοξασατε λοιπον τον Θεον δια του σωματος σας και δια του πνευματος σας, τα οποια ειναι του Θεου.	20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.
