1 And Jesus being come out of the temple, went away. And his disciples came to shew him the buildings of the temple.	1 - Mentre Gesù, uscito dal tempio, se n'andava, i discepoli gli s'accostarono per fargli osservare le costruzioni del tempio.
2 And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed.	2 Egli, prendendo la parola, disse loro: «Vedete tutte queste cose? In verità vi dico: - Non sarà lasciata qui pietra su pietra che non sia distrutta -».
3 And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world?	3 Mentre egli era seduto sul monte degli Ulivi, ancora gli si accostarono privatamente i discepoli e gli dissero: «Spiegaci, quando succederanno queste cose, e quale sarà il segno della tua venuta e della fin del mondo».
4 And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you:	4 Gesù rispose loro: «Badate che nessuno vi seduca.
5 For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.	5 Perchè molti verranno nel mio nome e diranno: - Io sono il Cristo - e sedurranno molti.
6 And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.	6 Voi sentirete parlare di guerre e rumori di guerre; badate di non turbarvi; bisogna che questo avvenga, ma non sarà la fine.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places:	7 Si solleverà infatti nazione contro nazione e regno contro regno, e vi saranno pestilenze e carestie e terremoti in vari luoghi;
8 Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows.	8 ma tutto questo non sarà che il principio dei dolori.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake.	9 Allora vi getteranno in tribolazione e vi uccideranno, e sarete odiati da tutte le genti per via del mio nome.
10 And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.	10 E allora molti si scandalizzeranno e si tradiranno a vicenda e si odieranno l'un l'altro.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many.	11 E molti falsi profeti si leveranno e sedurranno molti.
12 And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.	12 E per il moltiplicarsi delle iniquità si raffredderà la carità di molti.
13 But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved.	13 Ma chi avrà perseverato sino alla fine sarà salvo.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.	14 E questo vangelo del regno sarà annunziato in tutto il mondo, per essere una testimonianza a tutti i popoli; allora verrà la fine.
15 When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.	15 Perciò quando vedrete l'abominazione della desolazione, della quale ha parlato il profeta Daniele, posta nel luogo santo - ponga mente il lettore -
16 Then they that are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains:	16 allora quei che saranno in Giudea, fuggano ai monti;
17 And he that is on the housetop, let him not come down to take any thing out of his house:	17 e chi sarà sulla terrazza della casa non scenda a togliere quel che c'è in casa;
18 And he that is in the field, let him not go back to take his coat.	18 e chi sarà nel campo non torni indietro a prendere il mantello.
19 And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days.	19 Guai alle donne incinte e che allatterano in quei giorni!
20 But pray that your flight be not in the winter, or on the sabbath.	20 Pregate perchè la vostra fuga non avvenga d'inverno nè in giorno di sabato;
21 For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.	21 perchè la tribolazione allora sarà grande, quale non vi fu al principio del mondo fino a ora, nè sarà.
22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.	22 E se quei giorni non fossero abbreviati, nessuno si salverebbe; ma quei giorni saranno abbreviati, per amor degli eletti.
23 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.	23 Allora se alcuno vi dirà: - Eccolo qui, il Cristo -; oppure: - Eccolo là, - non lo credete;
24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.	24 perchè sorgeranno falsi Cristi e falsi profeti e faran di gran segni e prodigi da sedurre, se fosse possibile, anche gli eletti.
25 Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.	25 Ecco ve l'ho predetto.
26 If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not.	26 Se dunque vi diranno: - Eccolo nel deserto, - non v'andate; - eccolo nei luoghi più nascosti [della casa], - non credete;
27 For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be.	27 perchè come il lampo esce dall'oriente e guizza fino all'occidente, così sarà la venuta del Figliuol dell'uomo.
28 Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together.	28 Dovunque sarà il cadavere, vi si aduneranno le aquile.
29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved:	29 Or subito dopo la tribolazione di que' giorni, il sole si oscurerà, la luna non darà più la sua luce, e le stelle cadranno dal cielo e le potenze dei cieli si commoveranno.
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty.	30 E allora apparirà nel cielo il segno del Figliuol dell'uomo e tutte le genti della terra piangeranno e vedranno il Figliuol dell'uomo venire sulle nuvole del cielo, in gran potenza e gloria.
31 And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, and a great voice: and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the farthest parts of the heavens to the utmost bounds of them.	31 E manderà i suoi angeli con la tromba e con gran voce a radunare i suoi eletti dai quattro vènti, da un'estremità all'altra dei cieli.
32 And from the fig tree learn a parable: When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.	32 Ascoltate ora un paragone che prendo dal fico. Quando il suo ramo si fa tenero e mette le foglie, voi dite che l'estate è vicina;
33 So you also, when you shall see all these things, know ye that it is nigh, even at the doors.	33 così anche voi, quando vedrete tutte queste cose, sappiate che egli è alle porte.
34 Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.	34 Io vi dico in verità che non passerà questa generazione prima che sian successe tutte queste cose.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass.	35 Il cielo e la terra passeranno, ma le mie parole non passeranno. Nessuno sa il giorno nè l'ora; dunque è necessaria la vigilanza
36 But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.	36 In quanto poi al giorno e all'ora, nessuno li sa, neppure gli angeli del cielo, ma solo il Padre.
37 And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.	37 E come ai tempi di Noè, così sarà alla venuta del Figliuol dell'uomo.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, even till that day in which Noe entered into the ark,	38 Come appunto nei giorni che precedettero il diluvio si mangiava, si beveva, si prendeva moglie e si andava a marito, fino al giorno in cui Noè entrò nell'arca
39 And they knew not till the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.	39 e la gente non s'accòrse di nulla finchè venne il diluvio che portò via tutti quanti; così avverrà anche alla venuta del Figliuol dell'uomo.
40 Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.	40 Allora due saranno nel campo; l'uno sarà preso e l'altro lasciato;
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.	41 due donne faranno andare la mola; l'una sarà presa e l'altra lasciata.
42 Watch ye therefore, because ye know not what hour your Lord will come.	42 Vegliate, dunque, perchè non sapete in qual momento il vostro Signore verrà.
43 But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open.	43 Ma considerate questo che se il padre di famiglia sapesse in quale ora il ladro ha da venire, veglierebbe.
44 Wherefore be you also ready, because at what hour you know not the Son of man will come.	44 Per questo anche voi state all'erta, perchè il Figliuol dell'uomo verrà nell'ora che men ve l'aspettate.
45 Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season.	45 Qual è mai quel servo fedele e prudente, che il padrone ha messo capo de' suoi familiari per distribuir loro a tempo opportuno gli alimenti?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom when his lord shall come he shall find so doing.	46 Beato quel servo, che il padrone venendo, lo troverà a fare così;
47 Amen I say to you, he shall place him over all his goods.	47 in verità vi dico che lo preporrà a tutti i suoi beni.
48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming:	48 Ma se si tratta di un servo cattivo, che dentro di sè dice: " Il mio padrone tarda a venire ",
49 And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and shall eat and drink with drunkards:	49 e comincia a picchiare i suoi conservi e a mangiare e a bere con gli ubriaconi,
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day that he hopeth not, and at an hour that he knoweth not:	50 verrà il padrone di quel servo nel giorno che men se l'aspetta e nell'ora che non sa,
51 And shall separate him, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.	51 e lo farà squartare e gli assegnerà la sorte degli ipocriti; ivi sarà pianto e stridor di denti.
