1 Love justice, you that are the judges of the earth. Think of the Lord in goodness, and seek him in simplicity of heart.	1 Liebt Gerechtigkeit, ihr Herrscher der Erde, denkt in Frömmigkeit an den Herrn, sucht ihn mit reinem Herzen!
2 For he is found by them that tempt him not: and he sheweth himself to them that have faith in him.	2 Denn er lässt sich finden von denen, die ihn nicht versuchen, und zeigt sich denen, die ihm nicht misstrauen.
3 For perverse thoughts seperate from God: and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise:	3 Verkehrte Gedanken trennen von Gott; wird seine Macht herausgefordert, dann weist sie die Toren zurück.
4 For wisdom will not enter into a malicious soul, nor dwell in a body subject to sins.	4 In eine Seele, die auf Böses sinnt, kehrt die Weisheit nicht ein, noch wohnt sie in einem Leib, der sich der Sünde hingibt.
5 For the Holy Spirit of discipline will flee from the deceitful, and will withdraw himself from thoughts that are without understanding, and he shall not abide when iniquity cometh in.	5 Denn der heilige Geist, der Lehrmeister, flieht vor der Falschheit, er entfernt sich von unverständigen Gedanken und wird verscheucht, wenn Unrecht naht.
6 For the spirit of wisdom is benevolent, and will not acquit the evil speaker from his lips: for God is witness of his reins, and he is a true searcher of his heart, and a hearer of his tongue.	6 Die Weisheit ist ein menschenfreundlicher Geist, doch lässt sie die Reden des Lästerers nicht straflos; denn Gott ist Zeuge seiner heimlichen Gedanken, untrüglich durchschaut er sein Herz und hört seine Worte.
7 For the spirit of the Lord hath filled the whole world: and that, which containeth all things, hath knowledge of the voice.	7 Der Geist des Herrn erfüllt den Erdkreis und er, der alles zusammenhält, kennt jeden Laut.
8 Therefore he that speaketh unjust things cannot be hid, neither shall the chastising judgment pass him by.	8 Darum bleibt keiner verborgen, der Böses redet, das Strafurteil geht nicht an ihm vorüber.
9 For inquisition shall be made into the thoughts of the ungodly: and the hearing of his words shall come to God, to the chastising of his iniquities.	9 Die Pläne des Frevlers werden untersucht; der Herr erfährt von seinen Reden und bestraft seine Vergehen.
10 For the ear of jealousy heareth all things, and the tumult of murmuring shall not be hid.	10 Denn das eifersüchtige Ohr hört alles, kein leises Murren bleibt ihm verborgen.
11 Keep yourselves therefore from murmuring, which profiteth nothing, and refrain your tongue from detraction, for an obscure speech shall not go for nought: and the mouth that belieth, killeth the soul.	11 Hütet euch also vor unnützem Murren und verwehrt eurer Zunge das Verleumden! Denn euer heimliches Reden verhallt nicht ungehört und ein Mund, der lügt, tötet die Seele.
12 Seek not death in the error of your life, neither procure ye destruction by the works of your hands.	12 Jagt nicht dem Tod nach in den Irrungen eures Lebens und zieht nicht durch euer Handeln das Verderben herbei!
13 For God made not death, neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living.	13 Denn Gott hat den Tod nicht gemacht und hat keine Freude am Untergang der Lebenden.
14 For he created all things that they might be: and he made the nations of the earth for health: and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor kingdom of hell upon the earth.	14 Zum Dasein hat er alles geschaffen und heilbringend sind die Geschöpfe der Welt. Kein Gift des Verderbens ist in ihnen, das Reich des Todes hat keine Macht auf der Erde;
15 For justice is perpetual and immortal.	15 denn die Gerechtigkeit ist unsterblich.
16 But the wicked with works and words have called it to them: and esteeming it a friend have fallen away, and have made a covenant with it: because they are worthy to be of the part thereof.	16 Die Frevler aber holen winkend und rufend den Tod herbei und sehnen sich nach ihm wie nach einem Freund; sie schließen einen Bund mit ihm, weil sie es verdienen, ihm zu gehören.
