1 How beautiful art thou, my love, how beautiful art thou! thy eyes are doves' eyes, besides what is hid within. Thy hair is as flocks of goats, which Come up from mount Galaad.	1 Schön bist du, meine Freundin, ja, du bist schön. Hinter dem Schleier deine Augen wie Tauben. Dein Haar gleicht einer Herde von Ziegen, die herabzieht von Gileads Bergen.
2 Thy teeth as flocks of sheep, that are shorn which come up from the washing, all with twins, and there is none barren among them.	2 Deine Zähne sind wie eine Herde frisch geschorener Schafe, die aus der Schwemme steigen. Jeder Zahn hat sein Gegenstück, keinem fehlt es.
3 Thy lips are as a scarlet lace: and thy speech sweet. Thy cheeks are as a piece of a pomegranate, besides that which lieth hid within.	3 Rote Bänder sind deine Lippen; lieblich ist dein Mund. Dem Riss eines Granatapfels gleicht deine Schläfe hinter dem Schleier.
4 Thy neck, is as the tower of David, which is built with bulwarks: a thousand bucklers hang upon it, all the armour of valiant men.	4 Wie der Turm Davids ist dein Hals, in Schichten von Steinen erbaut; tausend Schilde hängen daran, lauter Waffen von Helden.
5 Thy two breasts like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.	5 Deine Brüste sind wie zwei Kitzlein, wie die Zwillinge einer Gazelle, die in den Lilien weiden.
6 Till the day break, and the shadows retire, I will go to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.	6 Wenn der Tag verweht und die Schatten wachsen, will ich zum Myrrhenberg gehen, zum Weihrauchhügel.
7 Thou art all fair, O my love, and there is not a spot in thee.	7 Alles an dir ist schön, meine Freundin; kein Makel haftet dir an.

10 How beautiful are thy breasts, my sister, my spouse! thy breasts are more beautiful than wine, and the sweet smell of thy ointments above all aromatical spices.	10 Wie schön ist deine Liebe, meine Schwester Braut; wie viel süßer ist deine Liebe als Wein, der Duft deiner Salben köstlicher als alle Balsamdüfte.
11 Thy lips, my spouse, are as a dropping honeycomb, honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments, as the smell of frankincense.	11 Von deinen Lippen, Braut, tropft Honig; Milch und Honig ist unter deiner Zunge. Der Duft deiner Kleider ist wie des Libanon Duft.
12 My sister, my spouse, is a garden enclosed, a garden enclosed, a fountain sealed up.	12 Ein verschlossener Garten ist meine Schwester Braut, ein verschlossener Garten, ein versiegelter Quell.

15 The fountain of gardens: the well of living waters, which run with a strong stream from Libanus.	15 Die Quelle des Gartens bist du, ein Brunnen lebendigen Wassers, Wasser vom Libanon.
16 Arise, O north wind, and come, O south wind, blow through my garden, and let the aromatical spices thereof flow.	16 Nordwind, erwache! Südwind, herbei! Durchweht meinen Garten, lasst strömen die Balsamdüfte! Mein Geliebter komme in seinen Garten und esse von den köstlichen Früchten.
