DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Salmo di Davide O SIGNORE, io levo l’anima mia a te.	1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,
2 Dio mio, io mi confido in te; fa’ che io non sia confuso, E che i miei nemici non facciano festa di me.	2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.
3 Ed anche che niuno di quelli che sperano in te sia confuso; Sien confusi quelli che si portano dislealmente senza cagione.	3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.
4 Signore, fammi conoscere le tue vie; Insegnami i tuoi sentieri.	4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.
5 Inviami nella tua verità, ed ammaestrami; Perciocchè tu sei l’Iddio della mia salute; Io ti attendo tuttodì.	5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.
6 Ricordati, Signore, delle tue compassioni, e delle tue benignità; Perciocchè sono ab eterno.	6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.
7 Non ridurti a memoria i peccati della mia giovanezza, Nè i miei misfatti; Secondo la tua benignità, ricordati di me, O Signore, per amore della tua bontà	7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.
8 Il Signore è buono e diritto; Perciò egli insegnerà la via a’ peccatori.	8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.
9 Egli invierà i mansueti nella dirittura, Ed insegnerà la sua via agli umili.	9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.
10 Tutte le vie del Signore son benignità e verità, Inverso quelli che guardano il suo patto e le sue testimonianze.	10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.
11 O Signore, per amor del tuo Nome, Perdonami la mia iniquità; perciocchè ella è grande.	11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.
12 Chi è l’uomo che tema il Signore? Egli gl’insegnerà la via ch’egli deve eleggere.	12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.
13 L’anima sua dimorerà per mezzo i beni, E la sua progenie erederà la terra.	13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.
14 Il Signore dà a conoscere il suo consiglio ed il suo patto A quelli che lo temono	14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.
15 I miei occhi son del continuo verso il Signore; Perciocchè egli trarrà i miei piedi della rete.	15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.
16 Riguarda a me, ed abbi pietà di me; Perciocchè io son solo ed afflitto.	16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!
17 Le angosce del mio cuore si sono aumentate; Trammi delle mie distrette.	17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.
18 Vedi la mia afflizione ed il mio affanno; E perdonami tutti i miei peccati.	18 SPARE a glance for my misery and pain, take al my sins away.
19 Vedi i miei nemici; perciocchè son molti, E mi odiano d’un odio pieno di violenza.	19 TAKE note how countless are my enemies, how violent their hatred for me.
20 Guarda l’anima mia, e riscuotimi; Fa’ che io non sia confuso; perciocchè io mi confido in te.	20 UNLESS you guard me and rescue me I shall be put to shame, for you are my refuge.
21 L’integrità e la dirittura mi guardino; Perciocchè io ho sperato in te.	21 VIRTUE and integrity be my protection, for my hope, Yahweh, is in you.
22 O Dio, riscuoti Israele da tutte le sue tribolazioni	22 Ransom Israel, O God, from al its troubles.
