DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ora, dopo che tutte queste cose furono compiute, tutti gl’Israeliti, che si ritrovarono quivi, uscirono per le città di Giuda, e spezzarono le statue, e tagliarono i boschi, e disfecero gli alti luoghi, e gli altari di tutto Giuda, e Beniamino; il medesimo fecero ancora in Efraim, ed in Manasse, senza lasciarne alcuna cosa di resto. Poi tutti i figliuoli d’Israele ritornarono ciascuno alla sua possessione nelle lor terre.	1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.
2 EZECHIA ristabilì ancora gli spartimenti de’ sacerdoti e de’ Leviti, secondo gli spartimenti che n’erano stati fatti; ciascuno secondo il suo ministerio, sacerdoti e Leviti, per offerire olocausti e sacrificii da render grazie; per ministrare, e per celebrare e cantar laudi; e per istare alle porte del campo del Signore.	2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.
3 Ordinò eziandio la parte che il re fornirebbe delle sue facoltà per gli olocausti; per gli olocausti della mattina e della sera; e per gli olocausti de’ sabati, delle calendi, e delle feste solenni; come è scritto nella Legge del Signore;	3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.
4 e disse al popolo, agli abitanti di Gerusalemme, che dessero a’ sacerdoti ed ai Leviti la parte loro; acciocchè prendessero animo di far ciò che la Legge del Signore comanda.	4 He furthermore requested the people living in Jerusalem to present the portion for the priests andLevites so that they might devote themselves to the Law of Yahweh.
5 E quando questo comandamento fu divolgato, i figliuoli d’Israele portarono le primizie del frumento, del vino, e dell’olio, e del miele, e d’ogni frutto della campagna, in gran quantità; portarono ancora le decime d’ogni cosa abbondantemente.	5 As soon as the order had been promulgated, the Israelites provided the first fruits of grain, new wine,olive oil, honey and every other kind of agricultural produce in abundance; they brought in an abundant tithe ofeverything.
6 I figliuoli d’Israele e di Giuda che abitavano nelle città di Giuda, addussero anch’essi le decime del grosso, e del minuto bestiame, e le decime delle cose sacre, consacrate al Signore Iddio loro; e le misero per mucchi.	6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.
7 Al terzo mese cominciarono ad accumulare que’ mucchi, ed al settimo mese finirono.	7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.
8 Ed Ezechia, ed i principali vennero, e videro que’ mucchi, e benedissero il Signore, ed il suo popolo Israele.	8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.
9 Ed Ezechia domandò i sacerdoti, e i Leviti, di que’ mucchi.	9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,
10 Ed Azaria, principal sacerdote, della famiglia di Sadoc, gli disse: Da che si è cominciato a portar questa offerta alla Casa del Signore, noi abbiamo mangiato, e siamo stati saziati; e anche n’è rimasto assai; perciocchè il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo; e quello ch’è avanzato, è questa grande abbondanza	10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'
11 Ed Ezechia comandò che mettessero in ordine i cellieri e i granai nella Casa del Signore; ed essi li misero in ordine;	11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,
12 e vi portarono dentro fedelmente le offerte, e le decime, e le cose consacrate; e Conania Levita ebbe la soprantendenza di queste cose; e Simi, suo fratello, fu il secondo.	12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,
13 E Iehiel, ed Azazia, e Nahat, ed Asael, e Ierimot, e Iozabad, ed Eliel, ed Ismachia, e Mahat e Benaia, erano commessari sotto Conania, e sotto Simi, suo fratello, per ordine del re Ezechia, e di Azaria, conduttore della Casa di Dio.	13 and with Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jeremith, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiahas overseers under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by order of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the chief of theTemple of God.
14 E Core, figliuolo d’Imma, Levita, portinaio verso Oriente, avea la cura delle cose volontariamente offerte a Dio, per fornir le offerte elevate del Signore, e le cose santissime.	14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.
15 E sotto lui erano Eden, e Miniamin, e Iesua, e Semaia, ed Amaria, e Secania, nelle città de’ sacerdoti procedenti in lealtà, per fornire a’ lor fratelli piccoli e grandi, secondo i loro spartimenti;	15 Supporting him loyal y in the priestly towns were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah andShechaniah, who made the distributions to their brothers in their various orders, whether high or low,
16 cioè, a tutti coloro ch’entravano nella Casa del Signore, secondo il lor ministerio, per le lor mute, conforme a’ loro spartimenti, la lor porzione giorno per giorno; oltre a’ maschi d’infra loro, che furono annoverati per genealogie, dall’età di tre anni in su.	16 irrespective of their official genealogy, to the males of thirty years and upwards -- to each one whoattended the Temple of Yahweh to fulfil his daily obligations -- for the performance of their duties appropriate totheir orders:
17 Or la descrizione de’ sacerdoti e de’ Leviti, per le lor genealogie, distinti per le lor famiglie paterne, fu fatta dall’età di vent’anni in su, per li loro ufficii, secondo i loro spartimenti.	17 the priests being registered according to family and the Levites of twenty years and upwardsaccording to their duties within their orders.
18 La detta porzione fu eziandio data a tutta la moltitudine di tutte le lor famiglie, mogli, figliuoli e figliuole, descritti per genealogie perciocchè in su la fede di coloro essi si consacravano alle cose sante.	18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.
19 Parimente, quant’è a’ sacerdoti, figliuoli d’Aaronne, che stavano ne’ campi de’ contadi delle lor città, in ciascuna città v’erano degli uomini deputati per nome, per dar le porzioni a tutti i maschi d’infra i sacerdoti; ed in somma a chiunque d’infra i Leviti era annoverato per le lor genealogie.	19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.
20 Così fece Ezechia per tutto Giuda; e fece ciò che è buono, e diritto, e leale davanti al Signore Iddio suo.	20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.
21 E si adoperò con tutto il cuor suo in tutta l’opera ch’egli imprese per lo servigio della Casa di Dio, e nella Legge, e nei comandamenti, ricercando l’Iddio suo; e prosperò	21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.
