1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo a la Iglesia de los Tesalonicenses, en Dios Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo. A vosotros gracia y paz.	1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: grace to you and peace.
2 En todo momento damos gracia a Dios por todos vosotros, recordándoos sin cesar en nuestras oraciones.	2 We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly
3 Tenemos presente ante nuestro Dios y Padre la obra de vuestra fe, los trabajos de vuestra caridad, y la tenacidad de vuestra esperanza en Jesucristo nuestro Señor.	3 calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father,
4 Conocemos, hermanos queridos de Dios, vuestra elección;	4 knowing, brothers loved by God, how you were chosen.
5 ya que os fue predicado nuestro Evangelio no sólo con palabras sino también con poder y con el Espíritu Santo, con plena persuasión. Sabéis cómo nos portamos entre vosotros en atención a vosotros.	5 For our gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the holy Spirit and (with) much conviction. You know what sort of people we were (among) you for your sake.
6 Por vuestra parte, os hicisteis imitadores nuestros y del Señor, abrazando la Palabra con gozo del Espíritu Santo en medio de muchas tribulaciones.	6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, receiving the word in great affliction, with joy from the holy Spirit,
7 De esta manera os habéis convertido en modelo para todos los creyentes de Macedonia y de Acaya.	7 so that you became a model for all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
8 Partiendo de vosotros, en efecto, ha resonado la Palabra del Señor y vuestra fe en Dios se ha difundido no sólo en Macedonia y en Acaya, sino por todas partes, de manera que nada nos queda por decir.	8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth not only in Macedonia and (in) Achaia, but in every place your faith in God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.
9 Ellos mismos cuentan de nosotros cuál fue nuestra entrada a vosotros, y cómo os convertisteis a Dios, tras haber abandonado los ídolos, para servir a Dios vivo y verdadero,	9 For they themselves openly declare about us what sort of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God
10 y esperar así a su Hijo Jesús que ha de venir de los cielos, a quien resucitó de entre los muertos y que nos salva de la Cólera venidera.	10 and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from (the) dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.
